That's probably true. I think we all would prefer if it were Skrulls or something that we know but maybe from Marvel's standpoint creating something new allows them to avoid letting fans down with a bad adaptation of an existing property. I mean, considering they are going to have a lot of their universe on the screen for the first time (featured at least) in this movie maybe they wanted to limit themselves. And hey, they could turn out to be pretty cool in the end.

For sure. It wasn't too long ago that an Avengers movie was unthinkable. Marvel didn't have a studio, no one thought the Avengers were popular enough, technology, casting, etc. I think the X-Men were the only team the Hollywood even thought was viable. Look how far we've come. At least Marvel figured out the way to do it was to spotlight the heroes individually and build a new fan base. Without that we either wouldn't have a movie at all or it would be terribly cast and underfunded.

This is probably going to upset a few of you, but I decided to part with my MOC Blade figure. I'm trading it to my best bud for a ticket to a beer festival next weekend, haha. He got into MU around the same time as me and has most of his collection displayed on the walls of his apartment, so I figured he deserved a shot at a holy grail.

Mainly their humanoid appearance, some of their limbs seems larger than the usual. Aside from Ataraxians, who do we have? The Ord?

Badoon maybe?
That pic...I hope it's not how they'll look onscreen- I'm pretty done with muddy colored indistinct CG aliens. Always looks unfinished to me- like a game in development. With all the great aliens in Marvel, why make something not only new but half-assed? They could have used the Snarks- big non-humanoid repitile jerks with high technology (first shown in Power Pack). |

Oh yeah, there's Badoons also. My main thoughts are they'll be random made-up army Loki just commands. That pic is of Praxagora was just an example of the obscure alien races that MU has. Ataraxians are robots, the latest trailer showed an up-close face that was monster-like, so I have no idea.

Korbinites, Badoons, or an Army of Undead somethings from Hela(like the Disir).
They could be the Sons of Muspell. Could be the Chitauri too. Definitely NOT the skrull or the Kree. That rumor has been dead for ages. Chances are it's something that'll tie into Thor. So that mostly leaves it at the Undead brainwashed Korbinites to open the door for Beta Ray Bill in a future thor movie, the Sons of Muspell, or the Disir. Probably something definitely outright norse related though. Last edited by Snowflakian; 04-01-2012 at 02:28 AM.. |
