$18.97 for new Red Hulk shipped from China????

F all that noise. Learned my lessons for overpaying for pre release figs in the past.

Well Red Hulk at least makes more sense because he isn't released as a single. The Widow I will wait for, though the price isn't bad at all on that. The clear Sue was a much better price for the first 26 or whatever people that got it for $13 with shipping..

it only makes sense if you don't know people who can get you that same fig without having to pay retail or scalper prices.

I'm stickin' with the first release Red Hulk that i'm usin' for my Heroic Age Avengers. Head on the new one just doesn't do it for me.

I need to decide for the new Hulk whether I want neon green (comic pack) or dark green (wave 18/walmart) for my Defenders.

Seriously though, I can understand the red hulk, because it's an entirely different character, but repainting Ironman and Thor is really getting annoying. Ironman is clogging pegs worse than Wolverine and Spiderman put together.

True. I wish he came with or we could at least switch the old Rulk head with the new body. But alas, it is still more about the body itself, and the new one is far superior.

Does anyone know if the figures are injection molded with clear or translucent plastic and then painted over? Or if they are injejected with colored plastic?

The clear figures obviously are entirely molded with clear plastic but there are some, like translucent arms electro and bamfing night crawler that are, at least in some parts injected with clear plastic and then the paint is added only up to the pre determined points to have that clear effect.

My point is, if standard practice is to mold entirely clear and then add paint, in theory one could soak any figure in paint thinner (not nail polish remover, because I don't think it's strong enough) and have a clear figure.

I have some loosies that I'd be happy to experiment with, but no paint thinner, so if any arker out there has sacrificial loosies, and paint thinner pour a cup, leave a fig in there for a few mins and see what happens.
