It's ridiculous that the Doom sub was only out for 4 days, and not available at the Marvel booth at SDCC.

When are they going to start selling that one instead? When Old Man Logan comes out at NYCC?

Sheesh.

Awww crap. That makes things complicated for me. Last year at NYCC, I had my NY bud start a subscription so he could send me the figure and keep the sub for himself. I was planning on doing the same thing for OML again this year, but if he has to be beyond a year and cancelled prior to starting again to get the fig, I might be screwed.

Had I known that the Doom sub fig was going to be soo HTF, I would have had him pick that up instead, but I didn't find out about Doom until after he already had Archangel well in hand. :|

Long time lurker, first time poster. Figured I'd let everyone know I took a run at the new Archangel offer and right now, something is not setting up right

The date on the offer says "12/31/12" as the postmark final date so I figured I'd go for it. Everything went smooth, took me to a page with the redemption certificate and everything. When I opened the certificate, something caught my eye immediately.

It has a different postmark by date of 1/31/12. Now unless time travel has been invented, something is off. I have emailed them to get a straight answer. Their FAQ lists the figure so it appears he IS the current figure once again but the certificate is off. I'll let everyone know once I get a reply.

Is the subscription back to the regular price? If it was the SDCC price I would get it for AA.

59.88 I think was the price.
I don't mind, I really wanted to read FEAR ITSELF and the other events they have up and I enjoy the selection I saw they had.

Just won't be pleased if they say "Oh well, tough luck". If they tell me just send it in and it's all ok, I'll be cool. Just that postmark by date catches the eye.

Er...I'd make you one a hundred times superior for half the cost of the Sub.

Heck, just have Glassman paint yo up that head he sells and you would have a FAR superior fig for $20.

Well, I'll just tell you all about my Doom ordeal.

I planned on getting Doom at SDCC. Signing up for my own sub, and carrying away the Doom figure from the Marvel booth on Preview night. I get there, and the guy who runs digital subscriptions tells me that they didn't bring any figures and don't have the setup to do subs at the booth because last year, the ladies in charge of that ended up not nearly as busy as they were paid to be.

So I plan on hopping onto marvel.com and signing up there on Sunday night since I don't have internet other than on my phone until then. I was a little miffed that my Doom outer box is going to have shipping crap printed all over it.

Each day at the con, I swing by where the digital subs were given out and see that they have computers up. I ask about the subs, and each day I get a different response. Yes, we're doing subs; No, we're not doing subs this year; Yes, you can sign up here but our internet connection is going out and the figure will still be mailed to you.

So Sunday night, I get back to internet and hop on at 10 pm PST. ONLY TO FIND THAT THE DOOM SUB HAS ENDED.

I was so pissed! They were operating on EST, and shut the opportunity down without saying that they were going to do that at midnight, and NO ONE at the Marvel booth EVER knew that was going to happen! I checked, and even the email and the online message DIDN'T say that it was over on the 15th.

So I go to Marvel.com customer service and file a complaint. The guy gets back to me the next day saying that if I send him my CC info, he'll fix it for me. I send him my CC info and never hear a peep back from them. I email them back once, twice, three times and never hear a peep.

At this point, I'm pissed that they're jerking people around. Maybe I'm the only one, but still, one unhappy customer is one too many.

Tell ya, Pete- Glassman. The Doom sub's box is not worth the difference in cost- particularly when the box breaks my heart so- showing a pic of Doom in his Secret waes armor but only giving us the carded version!
I'd have happily dropped the cash for a true SW version!

WELCOME, 2GOLD!.
Someone buy him a beer, willya?

It would be funny if they saw the negative reaction to the Doom sub and pulled it, making it the most expensive MU fig ever!

Speaking of sub figs, anyone want to sell or lease me the big gun from their Nick Fury Sub? I can cast it if required- I just want it for my custom Fury

Wow, they replied. Said send it in with the check, the promotion has been extended until the end of this year.

So there you go. X-Force Archangel is the figure for the rest of this year, I guess expect for NYCC when it'll be Old Man Logan.

I think it's the marvel.com/archangel one. I think. I know I saw the link in here. Maybe two pages or a page back?
And yeah, US and Canada only. Is that a thing?
