With all the people working on Ultimate Spider-Man< i thought it would be better. I really hate the cut aways, Spidey breaking the fourth wall and the jokes. Though, I do like seeing the various heroes and villains.

MU is pretty dead around these parts. I wouldn't be surprised if my stores dropped the line all together. That would suck

Looking at my box of stuff not on display, that XMO Iceman looks great -but is SO SMALL!
He's only as tall as the MU Black Widow.

Might look good for a First Class diorama though.

Tonight I took off the silly "X" from my MU Iceman with Acetone- woked great for stripping the silver paint but turned the plastic kinda icy-white.
Looks good on this fig though- much better than with out it so I'm goinig to touch up his head, arms and legs a bit with it ...maybe add in some of that Frost Giant ice stuff to his shoulders- attaching that with hot glue should keep a clear-ish look.

I think I'll give him a belt with a big X-Men emblem on the buckle.

Assuming it looks good (and all my stuff does, naturally), I'll post some pics.

Looks like bobby is going to make a play for Kitty's heart in the comics! Excellent!
They really need to give him some social development- they should put him on the upcoming Uncanny Avengers team!
Iceman freezes some villian and Thor zaps the ice with lightening, FTW!

That's how you pull a children's show aimed at a wide audience of young ids and some very young ones. It's why most networks air it during the early morning toddler shows.

Ult. Spidey seems to be in-line with the crowd who watch Ben 10 and Generator Rex. It's also made by the same peeps. I've sat through some of those shows and it seems like they're written for those that're about to enter middle school. Can't really seem to enjoy em as much as I do SHS.

So both the head and claw are from the Doctor? Double win! So does that figures hair and breathing mask come off?
And which Storm Shadow is used for the gauntlet?

Why no answers?

I've noticed though that fans are getting so jaded and vicious when it comes to this show. Not referring to you, Synapse, just in general. I try to raise the point that EMH is aimed at us, which is why quite a few children, especially the smaller ones, constantly wonder who some of those characters are and what's going on. To us, we get it. So they made Ult. Spidey. Knew this shit wasn't gonna fly when Bendis was attached to it, but I still watch it with the little ones in the house, and also..... Paul Dini, but yeah. The fans, they take this shit too seriously. Some fans have straight up told me it's not even meant and aimed at kids just because their kid decided it was dumb. My goodness, one child represents the entire demographic. I'll be back, I'm off to get Glee and Jersey Shore off the air. Some peeps are just so jaded. Hang in there, we'll get sweet ass toons, just give it time, and if it doesn't happen, oh wells, brah. We still got them sweet ass 90's cartoons we can rewatch again and again! What? No...? Okay then. Teehee.
I agree it's defiantly aimed at the kids. And I don't care for accuracy all that much. But some things in it are just strange or pointless. Like Spidey having no webs on his arm, and Dr. Octopus being some mental emo reject freak-job. I just get really annoyed at how they present Spider-Man, concepts, and issues.

I just can't understand How Spider-Mans doing the wrong thing when he's the only one trying to stop the bad guy. And The others are like Hey Spidey, do my home work and stop trying to stop that crazed Juggernaut guy. I mean we're certainly not going to bother..?

It just seems to me kids would watch anything with these heroes in them. But I guess thats just how I was as a kid and not indicative of kids in general. Still, from a post 7 years old point of view, the show sucks! And that breaks my heart...

You do understand that was the lesson in the episode right?
Luke Cage apologized to Peter towards the end for those very things, and his selfishness. Even changed his ways at the end and worked to not do that or be that way ever again.

As for Ock, it's an amalgamation of Doc Ocks. Most of the show itself is like that really. It uses ultimate and 616 alongside other nods.

That's my general view of the show too though. Some episodes are so much better than others, however. The one where he met Uncle Ben in the Dream Afterline thingy him and Strange visited was great and my Gal-Pal loved the one with Frog Thor and Loki.

Though some fans, some fans just want to see the world burn. I've seen some fanboys post on a few other forums how they wish to ritualistically track and kill the creators of this show for ruining their beloved hero.

I'd step in, but there's just too many of them, so I'm just like:

Gah! No need to keep the entire pic-filled post when quoting, man!

Also, you should get his variant Absorbing Man- the one that looks like lead is amazing- one of MU's most striking figures.

I don't think it's kill the creators bad. And to be fair some episodes have been pretty good. I liked the Thor and Doom episodes and some others, but more and more it's just to weighed down by Spider angels and breaking the 4th that I can hardly sit through it. And to top it all off they cancelled AEMH, which was one of the best and most comprehensive comic show ever. So I'm a little pissed about that. But I'll keep watching and hope it gets better.

And I don't think Cages apology at the end comes anywhere near fixing the damage that was a whole episode of Spidey working double time and being criticized for it.

And say what you will, I hate that version of Dr Octopus. He's just gross.

Sorry but epic fail by the writers on that one.

Maybe the upcoming Avengers toon that's replacing EMH might be good too. If not, then we've got the interweb. Heard about that interweb? There's some pretty cool stuff up on that interweb.

this should be common etiquette among forum posters.

the worst is when someone quotes a strip of photos just to post their own resounding "cool" or "sweet pics" or, even worse, "nice."

its really easy to crop out photos when quoting. takes seconds.

Those penguins are awesome!!! Nice haul. I also picked up some ninja turtles, and shredder, and splinter. Ya I went a little too much on that one purchase but damn greenskar played devil's advocate and said how do you not get shredder, and then how do you not get splinter.

I'm in the middle of chroming out shredder. Too bad he's got no knee articulation.

Yeah, it all comes off. Hair, mask, claws. Pop the head off and you've got a bunch of different customs you can go with. I bought the figure at my LCS a few weeks ago for $6. No regrets.

Is it Scott's insufferable superior attitude? The one that has turned a great character and made him into a mini-Magneto?

Fracton and his ilk have runed that character.
JA that XMO cyclops have really short forearms , I used to pose him with his arms at his back , like a military stance , to hide his arms , once I got the Jim Lee cyclops , I replaced him from my display but his optic blast accessory is really nice.

Awesome pics of the new wave, keep em coming guys. Cant wait till these guys hit retail!!
