Ok, I'm going to point myself as kind of the odd man out here, but I have no idea what the "gay thing" means. I actually never got to read any marvel comics or anything from DC for that matter. There were never really any comic shops around where I grew up. Anyone mind catching me up?

Ok. Then I'm gonna assume Batman and Superman got hitched at some point to scam an insurance company so Superman's kids could be taken care of incase he died or something. Wow...it's been a long time since I've seen that movie. I forgot the whole point of it....

So now since we've done away with the comic code fascist BS that regulated content in comics for decades, the issues of our times can be more bluntly explored within the pages of our favorite comic books. Which is good in my opinion. I enjoy real world issues mixed in with my fantasy. Makes it more real and can express ideas to some without them even realizing it. Note the comic fan racists, wondering "Why can't the humans just accept the mutants? Their people too." All the while in their real lives they would ignore the same logic to discriminate against others. So now we have more social and political themes finding their way into comics. Sometimes discreetly and not often realized and other times they have two dudes making out and getting married. The future is now... Hope this helps. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. I'm a freaking geek. The more you know..? Last edited by synapse17; 08-14-2012 at 11:51 PM.. |

				 | Quote: Recently in Marvel, more specifically X-Men, there was a gay marriage of an X-Man and his male partner. This no doubt was and is controversial. But considering the whole idea of the X-Men was a metaphor for civil rights, it's par for the corse if you ask me. Mutants are the minorities of the comic universe. Many hate them just because they're different. Despite the obvious, that they were born that way, that some mutant were good and some were bad, while still others a mixed bag somewhere in-between. They fought for equality or domination. | Quote: Hey bro no disrespect intended but I'm way to OCD to have the colors of Mr F & that thing in the same set up unless they were going to do a classic colors vs negative zone colors battle. This also explains why I have multiple versions of the f4 I guess my only advice, which seems you are already on, would be decide what version of the F4 you like and there you go I think the SHS human torch will still fit in with the actual set though, so I don't need to hunt down the MU one.
