NECA Aliens Series 11 - Toyark Photo Shoot

I picked up the Defiance Alien, and I'm really happy with it. Like Joe said, it's way hard to get to stand reliably due to the leg design, but the included stand helps (it seems to work best on the tail). I ran into a minor QC issue where the lower jaw peg was out of it's hole, but it was nothing a little hot water and a pair of pliers were able to fix.


Lambert's "scared" face sculpt is great, and I always welcome it when NECA doesn't give a character a neutral or "bored" face sculpt. I 'd like to pick her up if I run into her in the wild (my local TRU had already sold out, but hopefully they'll get another shipment in.

...you forgot to mention that the blue Chap has some new articulation (that we'll also see next year in the Ultimate Big Chap )

I guess. It did seem like some extra range of motion. But it doesn't feel like a significant upgrade though.

Truth be told, I may take a break from Aliens figures for a bit. Probably until the next Kenner wave or special edition release (like Burke). Running into a lot of sameness or slight variations in character selection or Xeno types. Available room is becoming a big issue right now. Don't think I really want another version of Ripley or Vasquez. Alien Resurrection doesn't interest me as I don't like that version of Ripley or the Newborn. With other stuff fro mthem I'm more interested in coming in 4th Quarter & beyond (Accessory pack for F13, Pan's Labyrinth figs, Ash vs Evil Dead, etc.), I'm still going to be busy with NECA figures I'm really looking forward to.

Yeah, I hear ya, Joe. I'm pretty picky when it comes to which NECA Aliens I buy for the same reason...way too many ever-so-slightly different variations for my taste, coupled with the fact that I usually only like the movie-based Aliens, with some exceptions (such as the Albino Penis-Tongue Alien, the Gorilla Alien, or the Defiance Alien).

I'm pretty good on movie Aliens right now. I've gotten my favorite versions and some good variations of those. I'm all in on the wild variations though. Stuff like weird game, comic and Kenner homages. The new AvP game Aliens are going to be some of my favorites, that I'm sure of.

Just found Lambert today at TRU, they only had one on the shelf. Very pleased with the figure, the quality is excellent. Clean paint for the most part, no stuck or floppy joints, and plastic that feels solid.

I hear ya, there are so many. I am super picky with Alien and Predator lines. But NECA keeps making something that I can't resist. The Sewer Alien was an really cool surprise. I'll probably look for Burke and Ripley with Coat. I'm actually excited for the Resurrection wave. Hopefully we get a New Born Alien.

No, we've yet to get that accessory. Lambert comes with a flashlight and laser pistol.

Looking forward to getting my own Defiance Alien. I would have it already, but of course my order got screwed up. As for the Resurrection wave, I'm actually looking foward to a Newborn or Clone warrior. Say what you want about the Clone warriors, but I always found that there's something enthralling about the picture provided with Macfarlane's take, so I'd love to see what Neca would provide.

If you ordered the set from the NECA Alien Club, then you got the first 3 parts of the Kenner dio as a special bonus. the final 3 pieces come with Aliens Series 12 via the Alien Club.
