Don't get why they went with Mini Muggs over Mighty Muggs.

Oh well, maybe I will dig them in that scale.

Mighty muggs? Weren't those canned, like, years ago?

Am I the only person actually looking forward to a lot of these figures? (But yeah that Hulk looks like he fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down).

The way Hulks hips are connected seem like he's going to have very little articulation there. Shame.

Is it just me or does the CC pics of hulk look good and the packaging version not so much? I mean he doesn't even compaire to the awesomness of the new hulk coming out in wave 18/19. But it does have a comicbook feel to it.

We have kind of known that these figures would suck since CC when they were first shown. Iron Man and Thor are just re-releases of the movie figures - which is either a smart move or absolutely dumb move on Hasbro's part (Smart if people buy them and they saved on making a new mold; dumb if no one buys them). The Hulk, as was said before, simply doesn't compare with the MU figure, which they could have stolen from for the movie, as the face doesn't look that much like the actor (or just stick a new head on the MU figure, for goodness sake!). Sadly, I'm not hopeful for Black Widow or Hawkeye either - although I might get Hawkeye just for another comic version. The only figure that I think will be in demand and I hope is well stocked is the Loki figure, which really looks good, particularly since most folks can't find the closest version, King Loki, from the movie.

Mini Muggs are about half the size of Mighty Muggs.

For example the SDCC Exclusive Avengers Mini/Mighty Muggs set from 2011. All items in the package were Mini Muggs: Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America. Except for Giant Man who was Mighty Mugg scale, and his head popped out of the top of the packaging to showcase his difference in scale from the other 4 Mini Muggs.

Not exactly. They've continued on as convention and retailer exclusives since they were supposedly "canned". There has been at least one exclusive SDCC Mugg the past two years since they have left most (except TRU) retail shelves.

Are these made by the same company?

If we get a decent 6" Hakweye figure in the mass retail line, I'll probably get it, but other than that I have little to no interest in this line in general. I doubt it'll happen, but I would love to see them release a role-play bow. Something along the lines of that old nerf bow, just designed around the recurve Hawkeye uses in the movie.

I might get a set of the Mini Muggs. They're cheap enough I could probably get all of them. The actual 3.75" figures will have to wait until I see them in person. Out of the ones pictured I'd probably only get the Thor right now since I passed on all of the versions in the Thor line.

ok everyone please listen!!
i know alot of you are hating on these figures!!
and let me tell you..... you all are RIGHT!!!!
i just picked up the enetire first wave today had to argue with a tru manager because he wouldnt break street date wich happens to be feb 27!! so yeah after a long arguement he let me walk away with the figures

first off
they are 9.99!!! wtf!!
second they lack ab/upper torso articulation!
also no more ankle or wrist articulation!
no more double jointed knees!!

wow less articulation! and more money!!! dont worry for those of you that dont believe me im working on video reviews of these right now!
they honestly remind me alot of the 3 and 3/4 inch spiderman line toys!

its bad guys i feel like ive spent alot on nothing!

on a better note! i did also find wave 1 of MARVEL legends! picked up iron man and i am loving him!!!

Less articulation is, imho, a good thing. I think Hasbro has been giving their 3-3/4" scaled figures way too many points of articulation. To put it simply, I think they've over-complicated them. Still, I doubt I'll get any of them. If I do, it'll be any Hawkeye figures that stand-out to me, or have some wicked bow accessories....

As for the price, last I checked ten bucks has been the normal retail price for this scale for well over a year now. It's not at all shocking, and I don't see an issue with it.
