I'm trying to decide if i should open my Marvel legends or just keep them Moc. I know alot of people have this problem but this thing is eating away at my brain. Most of my MU is moc as well so my walls are completely full to the point where I have to put stuff in my closet which is a waste of money. Idk what to do

^^ Maybe open a few and display them on a Detolf from Ikea? I'd say to open the ones you like a lot but are not really expensive... just in case you need to sell some of them somewhere down the line.

just open them already. stop denying yourself the satisfaction of actually having fun with your figures instead of using them as museum pieces on a few walls.

if its "eating away at your brain," then maybe its time to try something new.

I don't know man, maybe slow down on the collecting? I never understood people who intentionally buy stuff that they have to immediately put in storage. I've ended up with stuff like that, and I always felt weird about having so much stuff just sitting around. Anyway, maybe find a way to display them on a special Detolf or something?

Well when i see something I don't have I try not to pass it up (lesson learned with that). I have a small room but I really like collecting figures and my gf is a bad influence since I think she enjoys it almost more than me haha. I have some of them open and they are displayed in a case below my TV. I need to get shelves for my walls because I have alot of already opened figures that I haven't displayed since I moved here. Eh sorry for rambling about something so dumb/not important guys

Hey man, it's just good conversation. I think getting shelves would be a wise idea.

Lots of Arkers rave about the Detolf, but I use standard (well, maybe slightly better than standard) book shelves. My Batman figures are on a sweet shelf/picture frame/coat hook that I found at Hobby Lobby.

You want to sell me Destroyer for a reasonable price to make my ML IronMan collection complete, this you want to do.

Around $80-100 a piece, and best looking display for the $$. add some extra lighting and background artwork and you are set for an amazing display.

Well, I took Jason Abbadon to IKEA last week for some Detolfs, they were only $64.99 for the black ones. I may grab some for myself at that price. Jason grabbed two, lucky bastid. I was cashless......

I say $80 because I'm in Canada and Ikea costs more here. Also there's no Ikea even fucking remotely close to me, so I have 3 options, drive like 800 miles through 3-4 provinces there and back, pay $3-400/display case in shipping cost for ikea, or there is a local homemade business guy that takes order and does delivery drives there and back like once or twice a month and charges like 100ish to deliver 2-3, so I may go that route someday, especially the way My collection is going, If I did get them then I may consider opening deadpool and hawkeye. The only real alternative around here is standard shelving, bookcases or very expensive china/curio cabinents.

Complete wall shelves - EKBY shelf bar - IKEA

I'm planning on picking one of these styles and then putting a few up in my place. Certain MS figs like Juggernaut and Thing just cannot be hung. I know the nail would support the fig, but I don't think the cardboard will stay on the nail. Those figs are way too heavy to stay up for long.

Yeah we got lucky in South Forida. They put in a massive IKEA ike 4 years ago about 20 miles away. They had 19 in stock when we went, I think they will still be there when I need them. I think I might need like 4, but I'm still sketching out my displays. I need to pare the collection waaay down so I need to figure out what themes will be essential. I'm ditching almost all my Transformers and totally re-upping my TFs with MPs, 3rd party stuff, and a shelf for scout class and under. A Classics Batman shelf, X-Men/mutants, BAF/CnC/Big boys, Mecha, ML, a Spidey shelf, MU/Cosmic, Hulk, etc.

I don't think I'll even display my Joes, DC, so I may just make a huge ass BST and clear house.

Custom fodder will just get boxed up and sent to the closet
