The only one I'm really bummed about is Doom cuz I already have the Fantastic Four wave one. Can't wait for the Future Foundation Doom!

One thing bothers me about this "filler wave" crap. That is the fact that we've known about half of the figures that are in this wave ever since we got the first teaser photos of the SECOND wave. So it seems to me that "filler wave" is just a creative way to say "we got lazy and didn't feel like making a B.A.F. for this wave"

Possibly, but they gave us an xforce deadpool to complete a team, they r giving us a red 2pack deadpool for cost instead of paying $50-100 for him on ebay. They're giving us a cheaper cap then faceoff. They also retool blade and punisher which kinda needed it. Gave us new characters in moonstar and us agent and ff doom. They gave us a repainted doom which is 10-20 cheaper then the ff line doom. And Mystique is the only 1 annoying me due to reuse of the headsculpt, but it looks better on here then any of the other 2 female figures. I think Hasbro is smart, selling 2 deadpools, and cashing in on hype, ppl love these and want to buy the old school toybiz stuff. The next wave after these 2 will have the mini baf, requiring like 3 figures bought to complete. Then after that I can see a large baf being made. ... but I do dig the bases they come in handy.

No problem, some customizers do it for the love of making something new and charge little and let the auctions get out of hand by 2-3 ppl on a bidding war, the rest try to justify the price by the amount of fodder pieces, like Punisher repaint maybe a $30 figure, but add in a punisher van, 20 guns, base etc, and u can charge $2-300, customs are nice, but it really is up to u what you are willing to pay.

true, I do have quite a little collection of those bases going now between Avengers and Spidey, but as much as I like them, they're really not a great replacement, value wise, to the BAF pieces. but my real problem isn't really what we're getting, because I think it's a good idea to have a wave where people can pick and choose who they want and not have to worry about having to get them all to finish the BAF. My problem is with their explanation, they seem to have been planning this wave since the beginning, but since they didn't have a BAF for it, they just kinda brushed it off saying that they hadn't planned for there to be so much time in between wave two and three (something that they have complete control of anyway) that they just threw this together last minute to tide us over. the actual practice isn't that bad in my opinion, it's the fact that they felt the need to make up P.R. about it that is.

agreed I want a few of these and I'm not put out by the lack of a baf. I have only wanted a couple of the bafs and never had the money for them and I'm not loosing sleep. I for one am really happy about this wave.

I kind of hope they keep this up with maybe 3-4 waves a year with the running changes and give 2-3 baf and one wave without so that they can keep cost down. maybe they will use the wave without a baf to offer us the hard to come by figures, like deadpool, from previous waves. I really feel like this would be a win-win for everyone except a few

I love when new waves come out because this thread gets some much deserved attention. The new wave is awesome imo!!! They gave us some updated classics and Deadpool!!! Im having anxiety attacks waiting for Blade and a classic Deadpool to open. ML returned in a serious way lets hope Hasbro doesnt F it up.
