Marvel Legends/6.00" Appreciation Thread

Just got my mini haul of DCUC Dassad, DCUC Dr. Impossible, ML Gambit, ML Beast, and ML Nightcrawler. My Xmen Team is close to completion.

Just curious to know what your criteria for best toy company is. Because if its based on actual cost metrics and operating income...yeah Hot Toys isn't even in the same league as Hasbro.

Hasbro is best at bringing an affordable product to a worldwide consumer base. Otherwise, like Lord Marvel's title says: "You've got to pay to play!". And that's where the rise in third party suppliers comes into play. Gotta have that comic/movie/cartoon/game accurate take on a character you like? Third party's got'em...and they are expensive.

cleaning my ML figures today. Also going to arrange them differently. Having avengers together, and so forth. This should be fun

Really, that's what bothers me...why don't they take that pre-existing mold and release it again? Kitbashed figures and re-releases have somehow become acceptable for retail figures, and the Mcfarlane Spiderman is a figure that many people would love to have, so why don't the give us a chance to give them more money? I love new molds as much as the next collector but I also love the chance to get figures I missed (such as the Deadpool that's coming out, I'm very happy to have another chance to get one), and surely it wouldn't cost too much to reproduce the Mcfarlane Spiderman and put in a new ML wave or the upcoming four pack.

I'm not sure what the specific time frame but when they start putting out the revision cases you can usually count on the running change or sometimes they do it based on the store: ie TRU might get x-force and Wally gets classic DP

I just want to let everyone know here on this board that I hate you all. The reason being is that I came here to up my MU game and I have fallen pretty hard for ML, which I have owned a few in the past but now I'm actively trying to get my fav characters so yeah I blame you all.

Well, today was a bust. Here's what I found at Walmart and passed on:

Avengers ML style figs
1 x Thor
10 x IM
2 x newer color Loki (yellow not gold)

MU:
4 x Gladiator

ML:
They just finished doing a reset and there's NO PEGS ANYWHERE for ML! WTF.

Other than that, nothing of interest. Went to a few Targets, and found nothing as well. What a sad day of hunting. On the plus side, EE got my 3 cases of Wave 3 in and it was shipped today. So I guess that makes up for the bad hunt...

Well I think as long as the economy is down we won't see any toybiz molds because at this point they just cost more to make, because they use more plastic since they have more articulation. Hasbro is really putting out the cheapest product they can produce, look at the transformers they are tiny and cost around 15-16 now that is just crazy.

I love this figure. It was the first "Legend" I bought. It seems so out of place in that $10.99 Spiderman line when ML's are going for $5+ more than that a few pegs over.
