Wow, no unmasked headsculpt for Ronin? Very disappointed in that. It's not like you can just put a previous Hawkeye head on him. He has a different haircut in this film based on the trailers.

Good point. We'll probably see that as a Walmart or Target 2-pack. Sigh....

I wish we could get a status update or explanation for why the Stan Lee figure was pulled from the Target 2-packs last year. Would be nice to know if we're EVER going to get it. Given his recent death, they should just release it by itself as an exclusive at SDCC or elsewhere as a tribute to the man. It looked like a really nice sculpt from the leaked photos last year.

Nice to see packaged shots, just hope this wave moves well enough that I can find the second Avengers wave when it hits.

That is my main concern regarding this wave, if this doesn't move well enough then we're going to have a repeat of the Cull Obsidian wave situation. It's doubly lame because I want Beta Ray Bill more than I want anyone in this wave.

I'm still annoyed we haven't gotten an ML AoU or CW Hawkeye, but we got freakin' Pepper & Hot Rod IM.

One of the biggest issues is this trend of putting baf less figs in a wave with no real incentive to buy them. For thanos the cable guy wave it was a shabbily made ironman with only static posed hands and blast effects. No open faced helm or unmasked tony head or nano weapons or anything to justify him being baf less and its the same with steve. No alt heads, for say character building the mass effect suits, no unmasked steve head no extra hands etc. hell they coulda put a force works us agent styled head and a couple energy shield but hasbro once again drops the ball, if they arent going to include extra stuff with these bafless figs they shouldnt be included if theres no baf, all it does is create pegwarmers that dont sell and retail stores barely order stuff as is.

My local area doesn't have much of a collector's presence, so this happens with many of the waves that have frequent releases throughout the year. For example, most of my stores are clogged with the SP//dr wave, so the chances of the Kingpin wave hitting any stores is about nil.

I've noticed the new trend for the packaging is to put art of the characters on the back instead of prototype pics, I wonder why they started doing that?

They're usually not too terribly good anyways. Usually in some generic "action pose" that the character would not be caught dead doing. |

Based on the comments I've read, Cap's going to be lingering on pegs. That said, the rest of the wave may do the same given the tepid response it's drawn.

Cost saving. Using existing promotional/concept art from the movies is cheaper than doing the photoshoots. In that Marvel Legends survey Hasbro put out last year, there were several questions asking some variation of "Do you care enough about the photographs that you wouldn't be willing to concede them to avoid a price hike?" and I'm guessing the resounding answer was "No."

![]() Boo Hasbro! The Avengers' space suits are atrocious. I've seen better BMX outfits. This is very disappointing. I can't think of ANYONE other than the hardcore fanboys who would EVER want Marvel Hercules or Nighthawk. Some MIGHT want Living Laser, but not in a movie year line. Where's Space Suit Hulk?

Frankly I also would have voted "no" on that survey, since 99.9% of all packaging for figures I buy now end up in the trash bin. |
