I'm customizing my open Hawkeye now and I watched the movie again last night (for research purposes, yyyyeah that's it)I studied every scene with Hawkeye in making mental notes. In the movie, at no point does he have a 3 point harness holding his quiver, it seems to just attach from the back. Also he never wears shades except the final scene where they are all going off on their own in civillian clothing. I wonder if the 3 point harnes is a recycled part from maybe Deadpool or something, or maybe they designed the figure around early concept art as I've seen promo pics of Hawkeye and he's wearing the red/black shades in some promo pics. But even the promo pics I found he had no harness. So I have a cool extra part for the fodder bin. I have lots of little arrows to make, which is easy enough except for the ungodly amount of tiny feathers/flights I need to make and glue onto them. I have to string up the bow better too. I think I'm gonna use that stretchy thread that some price tags come with, so the bow can be strung with tension but you can still pull the string back for shooting poses. The other mods are, well.......gonna be a surprise! |

Glad to hear you found them Hank. You should try to find some LOTR figs. That's the arrows I used.

Then a few full length arrows, with different tips. Grappling, bomb, arrow tip, the pc hacker tip, a magnetic one just for fun |

Have you guys noticed how much the Walmart Exclusive 6" Avengers figures are going for on ebay? I just noticed tonight... Hawkeye is going for around $70-85 and the Hulk is going for around $50-75... What the heck? I just bought Captain America at my local Walmart and they had a Thor and two Iron Man figures left.
Hulk and Hawkeye look great, and I want them, but if stores aren't going to restock these then I'll just pass. Maybe I'll feel differently when I actually see those two in person, but I saw Cap, and he looked pretty damn cheap to me.

Cap's shade of blue makes him look cheap, but the sculpt has lots of good detail.
My only gripe is the mask/helmet is incorrect, should cover more of his cheeks. I'll definitely buy him, if they included an extra/alternate Cris Evans head he would have flown off the shelves! |

My only gripe with Cap was no boot swivel and wrist articulation. Other than that he's a great figure. Dont let the bright colors fool you OV
And Hank did you hollow out the quiver? |

And Hank did you hollow out the quiver?[/QUOTEoro] No, I just drilled 16 holes for the partial arrows, the full length arrows will not fit and are for shooting poses. Elastic string for the bow string Removed his shades(in one piece!) so he can wear them or not. Sculpting eyes/brow area. Adding blue LEDs to his eyes for "spellbound" mode. Adding red LED "sight" to his bow, wired through his arm via custom connectors. Then an awesome paint job! |
