This isn't the Captain America: Civil War (movie) wave of figures. It is simply the Captain America (character) wave. A second wave containing movie figures will probably arrive closer to the movie's actual release date. They did this same routine with the Odin, Thanos, Hulkbuster, and Ultron waves. Verily, you'll get your movie figures. Calm thy selves.

I'm putting my money on the Abomination being in the SDCC 2016 exclusive. The digital mock-ups shown in the SDCC panel usually turn out to be the next year's exclusive. (Moonstone, Star-lord, Magik, Dormammu, etc.)

It can probably stand better. I love how great the select Venom is but his ankles are weak, even with a base mine kept falling after trying a dozen different poses. Now he's on the base and leaning against the wall, he still looks fantastic though.

I'd say he's definitely too tall for Legends since he's in a 7" scale. I was just speaking on the quality of the toy itself and how this Legends offering will probably compare.

I think it is lame that Gwen comes with AM's weapon. That is stupid. Talk about unnecessarily adding another figure to the wave. Honestly though, I only care about 5 of the figures, but since I'm on the fence of AM, I might as well just get the whole wave.

The Cap wave on the other hand is a different story. I only care about Cap, Sharon, and Bird, but I may get Taskmaster just for the Skull head. I can put it on another body. No interest in the other guys.

Most people wouldn't call Spider-Gwen unnecessary. For one, it's our first ML-style Gwen Stacy ever(!) Two, she's a super-popular character right now with her own comic series, so she'll probably fly off the shelves, and three, we could always use more gender diversity in ML, right guys?

was thinking of getting him but i saw the legends line and thought maybe better off with that one. selects figures seem to be detail over articulation where as Hasbro with the 2016 might be a bit of both

I actually suspect that Hasbro doesn't allow for Select to put in too much articulation, like since they made their deal with Marvel first they set a limit on how pose Select can give 'em but not detail.

There's a potential Hulk wave down the road?

If true, then I'm sold.

These look great it is funny when people read a comic once upon a time then complain about a new version of something when ever they see it no matter how accurate it may be to the art work it's based on.

I'm going to get that Cottonmouth, Spider Gwen, and Jack O' Latern.

I will probably end up getting the Ben too.

I would love a Spider-Carnage but if it wasn't clear plastic like the old toy I would be upset.

I'm assuming it would be an exclusive somewhere if they made it, they would probably just paint the arm and leg muscle details.

All new sculpts for arms and legs would be a lot of budget.

Wait, what? I wasn't calling Spider-Gwen unnecessary, I was calling the fact that she comes with AM's weapon a waste of space. This wave could have been clearly 6 figures or doubled up on one part.

Mine is sorta of the same.... he and MS Carnage kinda tower over the legends. yet i just can't get enough of their looks.

The figures look great. I cannot disagree with that. My issue is not with the accuracy of the look, which I'm okay with, it's just that I still think that broom looks stupid.

New looks are not always necessarily better. There have been several characters over the years that have changed looks, and while some are cool (I really dug Miles Morales Spider-man, as well as several of the new Marvel Now looks...) there are several others where the new look is hideous and almost disgraceful to the original...(that blue lightning look that Superman had for a while comes to mind, as does the current incarnation of Venom.) It's not about refusal to accept change, or feigning ignorance, it's quite literally just down to "WTF were they thinking?"

Here's a pic that Hasbro shared.

FU Hasbro, FU. But these do look outstanding.
What would be fantastic is if Hasbro did what Mezco did with the Hellboy line and scaled down from 7" to 3'75" without losing the detail and articulation in the transition.

I'm really liking that Rogue she'll be on my high priority want list. Scourge, Taskmaster, Cottonmouth,Baf Onslaught, and Absorbing Man are going to bring me back into the 6" line after a long Hiatus since the back to the Toybiz days. Damn but these prices are staggering. I used to get 12 figures with accessories and 2 BAF's for $120 now you get half of that for $130
