Sort of. He assimilated the sword in the same way a symbiote bonds with a human. The first time he uses it he actually holds it* then it begins to become apart of him. Every area of black on him is the symbiote All Black. He kills folk with his "cloak" as often as the "sword"

*While the second has the sword hidden from view it's evident he is weilding it in a traditional method.

Once again the usual suspects show up to decry another Hasbro Marvel Legends offering. This was clearly mashed together relatively quickly in order to capitalize off a film most people forgot already. If you thought Hasbro was going to make a pinless body for this figure then I have a bridge to sell you. The accessories and price point are on par with other Hasbro "exclusives" or "deluxe" figures so I don't know what the big shocker is here.

Let me use some of the editing features to sum this up:

For the umpteenth time: IT'S. ONLY. GOING. TO GET. WORSE.

If releases like this are bothering you it's time to find another hobby. Hasbro either doesn't care or isn't in a position to care. i get ripped for this too, but the fact that this figure even went beyond the prototype phase should tell you ML is on a roll.

Chill, bruh. Folk like to discuss things AND bitch. It's a forum. That happens. If you don't like it there is a very simple solution. Leave.

So there's a mix of holding it as a bodily extension and holding it as one normally would. Hasbro probably thought the former looked cooler and went with that thinking it would pass because it's the comic version of Gorr the Guy Played by Batman.

When Gorr rises from D-List Marvel villain people only know exists because he was in an MCU film to Vader/Spidey/Wolverine/Optimus-level character then they'll invest in a better body and better accessories. Until then, well, this is what you get.

Funny, because I've been explaining the "simple solution" to all the "bitching" about Hasbro is to stop buying their products. But then what would you do in the forum? "Bitch" about things you don't buy? Leave the forum to people who actually like Hasbro products? Go outside? Heavens no!

Maybe those people are the ones who should leave. Ever think of that?

Huh. I guess it just comes out of his hand and he uses it however he feels like at the moment.

What I'm noticing now though, aren’t his feet supposed to be different? Like one is malformed? Wasn't he called out by his tribe for that even before he became the "God Butcherer"?

Or is this something they retconned because the artists grew tired of remembering to draw him with two different ones?

Obviously, this should not be $30, it is not worth $30. However, I do think it looks pretty good; instead of looking at the price first and seeing how it's definitely not a Deluxe-ish release and getting disappointed, I'm seeing how it's probably supposed to be a normal-ish release (for which it looks rather good) and is getting jacked-up exclusive pricing. Basically, in my mind, this isn't a disappointing deluxe release, but a good normal release that has been stupidly jacked up to near-deluxe prices. Still absolutely not worth the asking price, though.

So he's $30 and doesn't even have pinless joints? Pass.

No pinless joints is a little disappointing, especially considering the character's smooth design.

He really reminds me of Mandalorian Cad Bane... same face almost minus the ears... exact same mad expression too.
