With the price increase and closed packaging, Hasbro is making it easy to stop buying these. I like to SEE the figure for the best paint apps. Also, I bet there will be more swapped figures in boxes.

Wait, Hasbro is starting to go with closed packaging so I can't look at paint apps first? Fuck that bullshit, they just lost a shit-ton of sales.

I'll have to go exclusively third-party sales, I guess. Stupid, stupid decision on Hasbro's part.

That said, I can't wait to see the repacking threads once these closed boxes start hitting retail. Who the fuck knows what'll be coming out of these boxes then, lol.

Imagine if it's actual turds? Hasbro has opened up all sorts of nonsense to come out of their packaging with this move. Ugh.

I'm already at the point where I have to return one out of every two purchases I make with Amazon, so these closed boxes are really not going to help at all. Can only imagine how shitty the retail scene will be, ppl swiping shit from inside the box and putting it back on the pegs with a rock or something inside... absolute shitshow.

Not to mention the real bummer for me personally is I only open maybe half the Legedns I buy, and put the rest in their window boxes on my "box wall". I just like looking at them in their boxes and can imagine how they articulate etc, so I'm perfectly pleased with them in that condition. Real shame I won't be able to do that anymore, so I'll probably just start skipping characters. I was on the fence about this new Iron Spider, but now I'll just skip it since I have the Yamaguchi already.

Anyway, I'm personally pleased with the "Renew Your Vows" Mary Jane, finally a figure that looks pretty feminine, i.e. like a real adult female, instead of that fugly body they used on characters like Firestar.

I don't think Hasbro realizes how many MIB/MOC collectors they are... IMO those guys will definitely stop buying/buy less stuff if they can't actually see the item they bought while it's still MIB/MOC.

The new Lizard is dope. I've waiting for them to announce this one. The retro head especially is sweet.

I will be bringing a knife with me to stores from now on just to open up boxes so I can look at the product before I buy it. If they have an issue with that, they can take it up with Hasbro.

So did Marvel suddenly remember Jane Foster existed? She was pretty much gone since Thor II.
someone can correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought Portman was upset that Patty Jenkins was removed as a director on one of the Thors, and i think she wasn't happy with the Marvel/Thor movies so she didn't want to be in them, and only did #2 because of her contract

I remember reading about the same thing. She swore Thor 2 was the last Marvel movie she'd ever be in, that's why even for Endgame, they had to use archive footage for her part in it. I guess if you flash enough $$$$ in front of them, they all change their minds eventually.

The funny thing about this comment in relation to the thread is that the Eternals figures are considerably better looking than are the Love & Thunder figures. In terms of thematic cohesion, design, and ultimate execution the Eternal wave seems to have gotten more TLC than did the MCU Thor wave. Even more interesting is that the Love and Thunder wave isn't getting pilloried for its tepid showing in the way that the Eternals did. It serves as a real time demonstration that support in the form of fandom (in this case, Thor fandom) will make for lying eyes as it regards these toys.

I thought we were supposed to be against patriarchies? I thought we were supposed to like strong women?
I'm sure someone here will be, "don't be mean to Hasbro!" when I once again complain of the plethora of issues & bassic $#itin on the fans they're doing.
I see the film Venom fig is being reused & thrown in a 2-pack with Knull. We aren't getting Quills helmet anymore (making it even less likely I'll get any from this wave). Great that they're including the very inarticulate Spider-Ham with Spider-Man Noir instead of any other decent accessories. Why didn't they do it from the beginning instead of having the same McDonald's-level toy included with Spider-Gwen?
Toad looks pretty good, yet they'll probably price like they did the Cap of the series--more expensive than the price hike they already have going on. They separated the fan-vote from the blue haired silk they're including with Doc Ock--for what reason are they together?

I'm not seeing comments here on the fact that they returned the toe articulation for Spider-Man. What's irritating is they do it after a ton of rehashes of their new Spider-Man system, then throw it in a 2-pack...so real good for fans. And they always do stuff like this when it comes to including a normal Peter Parker unmasked head. For some reason doesn't have the Toybiz era foot articulation in the Toybiz version they're releasing?

I'm only really wanting the Lizard, which only comes close to replacing my Toybiz Lizard. At this point I'd rather find Iron Spider with a different company to stop giving them my money. Got back into collecting because of Hasbro, now thinking of stopping for the same.

Fans are DESTROYING the look of the Gorr figure, at least. And many I see saying the only figures they're looking at are Jane and Ravager Thor.

Sure, Gorr looks nothing like the character, so I'm hardly surprised. However, this pales in comparison to the Eternals wave where people were withering with their excoriations of what was a better looking end product.

I predict that there will be a vast number of loose SPINNERET figures for sale on ebay once the Renew-Your-Vows 2-pack is released. The numbers will far exceed those of the Spider-Man figure from the same set.
Heed my prediction, mortals! In time you will come to realize it's validity!

The only Love and Thunder figure I *might* pick up is Teen Groot.

I dont think this wave is going to sell any better than the Eternals wave.

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly about this wave facing a similar fate at retail.
