Can't you get a children's light up toy car that is remote controlled for like 20 bux? Don't Barbie sized car toys cost like 50?
The price tag is not worth it. I honestly would expect this is be $200-250. This is about 100 dollars too much. The car alone I can see being $150. |

It is about that much, but all the stretchgoals are factored into the price, no matter if they are reached or not, that’s the problem here.

First off it's not a mass release. I don't think some people really understand how making 50,000 or 100,000 units purchased by various retail stores brings the MSRP down. Plastic is not cheap. Yes when your production is that high and you sell every single one of the units, it's pennies. Upfront though it certainly is not. And this is asking for 9000.
Tack on the shipping expenses and consider more than just raw material. Then you got licensing with marvel that isn't there with Gi Joe and Transformers(sorta). I will consider the figures as being $20. So if Early bird is reached, then the vehicle drops down to $310. The car itself is 1:12 scale. I see people on twitter pulling out RC cars with hollow sells and diecast 1:18 or smaller scale cars. This is where it gets difficult. Different models differ materials. Let's just say $100. Then the interior is functional. Some have pointed out how Mcfarlane did the vehicles for the DC Multiverse line. Those vehicles have very limited functionality. It's a base with wheels. There are LED/Electronics through out. Which means more time is spent in assembly. There are numerous attachments. Some of them are painted. All of this starts to add up in creating a many new unique molds. There is greed and there is also the realities of a small production run. 9000, is a very small number. That being said, I don't think this is a $350 product. Especially with the HISS being 300. Also I don't think any of the accessories or features are pointless. I think the thing looks solid. The figure they could have used better torso articulation. I do wonder if they could have gotten this into stores though. It's a highly functional car short of having RC components. Now depending on what the tiers are, my tune may change. Do not expect a bike. Expect either Ghost Rider characters or things to enhance the main car itself. If this was $300, I'd knock on the door of calling it a steal. Presentation wise. They showed off the car and all the accessories with an actual prototype. Small productuon runs for small companies do have a price tacked on to them. Large companies like Hasyourdough do not have those issues. What the do have is the ability to pass that type of thinking on to the consumer to justify a price hike. Comparing this to a Mcfaralne product..nah that doesn't work (I know you didnt). Hasbro is a veteran in the toy industry (far longer than Mcfarlane) and should be comparable to other companies manufacturing things like equivalently sized push or RC cars. And if you look next time you are at a toy store the prices in those cats. are not high! With work lights and all. I do agree with most of what you said though. If the rest of the unlock are all figures.. this is not worth it. Unfortunately I love my sibling. And if he wants me to get it, I will. But I will wait to see what happens. |

There will always be people who feel the price is too high. The character not popular enough. The wheels are too round.
Someone trying to collect EVERY SINGLE PRODUCT will always face an uphill battle. Maybe it's a battle they should learn to lose. I don't think though that Robbie Reyes is gatelocked behind this Haslab. That's Hasbro will never ever do a solo release. This particular version is likely limited to the Haslab but one with a different look will show up at some point. Haslabs are not promises that they will never reuse these molds. It's simply that a big item will not fly with retailers for mass production. That could change just on the Haslab backer count. I don't think the market feels less vehicles are needed for characters where their vehicles are a big part of them. Dioramas are an iffy bag in that I don't know if Hasbro has to be the one to provide it. You got other smaller companies doing generic ones that sell on BBTS and such. A vehicle you can place anywhere. A diorama commands more space. But I may just be thinking too small(or big?). |

The only ones detached from reality are people like you who continually display an inability to even try to understand how the toy industry (or economics in general) works. These same arguments were had 14 years ago and it's the same old song from collector's.
Everything Designincase said is accurate. Other than the figure everything about this is unique. I don't know what part of "prototypes are expensive" the average toy collector doesn't understand, especially one-offs like this. It's going to cost WAY MORE than the $15 they're charging you to ship. It has electronics, which requires extra labor. And so on, and so forth. Get it now? It seems like your actual problem is not necessarily GREEEEEEEED but the fact that you and your brother need to ask for a raise in your allowance. |

Hasbro doesn't revolve around Marvel Legends (or is that "gibberish" too). If I was bragging about Doctor Strange 2 carrying my toy line I'd sell this Ghost Rider Haslab for $350 also. And for some reason you're bringing up 2021 and not 2022, which have been a mixed bag. Despite what you hear on the news the economy is s*** and Hasbro knows it. I've been collecting 35 plus years and understand alot of the ins and out of the toy industry and toy manufacturing.

Every company has that price tacked on. Just a bigger one have an easier time making up those costs due to the scale of their production. Once they bring it back down, it's going to sting. It won't break them but it's going to sting. Let's not make any mistake, these are not kill the line/company products. It's because of their size they can do this and it fails, stings but not a big deal. I've looked at those cars. They are thin plastic shells went a decent paint job on top on general RC parts. That's not to say I think this car is really pushing the envelope on a premium car. It's not diecast but plastic. Now as it if it's really worth it. That's for the individual. Again this price is not what you'd pay in a proper retail situation. But that's ultimately irrelevant if you don't think it's worth it. What it offers right now. I don't think it's worth it. Another note is tiers I've been on the fence about this. If you can't sell the main product, then the tiers are fluff. Once it's backed, the tiers take on some matter. But still it's pixie dust until reached. I think they could hint at them but they may also want time to react. (I was curious what other companies were offering and at what price points. Alot (some are trash and i broke one in store..lol) are made with heavy grade durable plastics to be beaten up and still work. On top of metal parts electronic motors. Still low prices. So I have no connection to this character. Up until I viewed this thread I thought he was from agent of shield the show. This alone makes this a very easy pass for me. The price also helps but ultimately it's just zero interest in the character. It's going suck if the add on are characters I would actually want. Just going have to wait and see.

Backed. I'm here largely for the tiers, but I'm also excited for Robbie and that boss ass Charger.

It's only hilarious because of angry manlets that can't accept criticism on pricing. No one's angry at people who are backing this. It's your money and you determine what products are worth to you. Hope you get some good tier rewards.

Let's flip it around.
What would make this a $350 set without changing out the main product or adding another vehicle. For me. RC capabilities Which also means flaming wheels that can spin. Light control The abilities to control the lighting. Brightness, color, transition. Also control those individually. I can do it was smart bulbs and $15 LED strips off Amazon. This plus the RC portion all from a mobile/pc. Removable windows Noise I feel it doesn't need to make noise.......but it should make some noise. Alt Heads Ghostrider with alt Robbie and AOS Ghostrider headsculpts. Well heck you could even throw in the actor. In addition to the real metal chain. An articulated chain on fire(or with fire effects). Independent LED Head The head should just light up on the body itself independent of the car. Fire effects for Ghostrider Get me some fire balls and what not. Fully articulated Stand base for the car. By that I mean could depict the car launching(or falling) into the air. |

I agree that it's too much, but if Mephisto, Blackheart, and Damion Helstrom are delivered then it becomes a steal....provided the tiers remain exclusive. I'll feel robbed if any tiers see a retail birth. I've backed for two, Hasbro, and will do more if you deliver on my wants. |

"It's the mean words and animus that makes me giggle. "Hey, you suck eggs and are sooo duuuuumb!""
Funny isn't it? We are criticizing Hasbro and the kid came in here with personal attacks like we murdered his family. |

Very awesome, don’t think I have space to display it. Its high in cost but anyone been to a grocery store lately? Everything is out-of-site. I’m probably going to pass but it’s tempting. I’m really saving my bucks for Eternia when that launches later this year.
One question……how the hell does he not burn the car to the ground with that flame head on inside? |

I really hope Danny Ketch isn't a stretch goal. I just want him by himself. I might could justify him plus cycle - the only other one's I've done that for are Johnny & Squirrel Girl. I'd even love to buy Robbie by himself (either version shown here). I just don't have room for the car. Same reason I didn't back the HISS, even though I wanted to. I barely have room for the two cycles, and one of them is still in the box.
