Calling people shills just because you disagree with them is just rude. There are no good or bad guys here. If in your opinion you don't like the product then all power to you. Someone else may find the toy is good.
This Haslabs problem is appealing to the fanbase. The price is too high. The tiers don't enhance the base. If this Haslab succeeds, I think it would have to break records succeed. If it just scrapes by, Hasbro probably wouldn't see this as a win. You don't want to go into the next Haslab with this negativity. Also I keep hearing the Billion dollar company doing a crowdfund. Please explain what the actual problem is. Hasbro isn't going to make 100,000 Galactus and what not without thinking they could sell them all. I still think that is Hasbro can sell Red Skull, an actual Nazi in the same aisle as Optimus Prime. They can sell Mephisto and Pryor online in a method to protect the children. Also last I checked Marvel still has Pryor in her skimpy clothing. I think the only change they've recently made was covering up that underboob. At some point the hypocrisy makes me want to rip my head off and stick a pumpkin on it. Hasbro knowingly sells to adults. Disney knowingly sells to adults. Marvel knowingly sells to............adults. Pulsecon? That's for adults I agree I don't buy these off limit characters. Hasbro has developed ways around the traditional. Add on Pryor isn't even a new unique body. This Haslab is really calling into question the rumors and statements we've been told in the past being BS. |

-"They think we're stupid." Sorry bud, I don't see too much here to challenge that theory. You got people complaining about every single release yet still preordering them, people who clearly can't manage their money, people who refuse to use eBay because they think it's a scalper haven (even though you can get deals on tons of figures), I could go on.
Anyone remember DC Universe Classics? Figures broke right out of the package, waves barely made it to shelves, and who could forget "No Monkey No Sale"? Yet somehow it managed twenty waves, a few sub-waves, and three years of a subscription. Why? Because collector's are stupid. But seems like this Haslab is many people's Picard First Contact moment. The line must be drawn HEA. This far, no furthar! |

You can say classic Cobra Commander behind HISS was hostage though. But most people seem to agree he'd be released single later on. At the very least all previous Haslabs have related figures as tiers. This one is just more blatant with the hostagetaking. |

Never really wanted a haslab to fail before . 2 of my favorite high demand characters stuck behind an unwanted overpriced non figure project. I guess i dont know much about this ghostrider because what does Madelyne Pryor have anything to do with his stories?
Jedi luke is out soon and he was one tiers for the failed rancor . just saying... Last edited by CosmicCreature; 10-04-2022 at 09:15 PM.. |

Technically Jedi Luke came out well before the Rancor Haslab as a Walmart exclusive, he didn't have the bone but it was basically the same figure with the brown soft-goods cloak and the Jedi robes. The upcoming Luke will be from Mandalorian season 2 and thus has the gloved hand, a different belt, and the cloak is black so it's not exactly what would've been included with the Rancor.

It's so simple. Hasbro hurt you and you're going to hurt them back. We've made too many compromises already. They take away accessories and we fall back. They have poor QC and we fall back. They raise prices and we fall back. Not again! The line must be drawn HEA. This far, no furthar! I will make them pay for what they've done. Well....off to watch First Contact again. I hope you are proud of yourself. Also I think the scene does sum up this whole debacle. |

So….this thing keeps going backwards. Sadly, it now seems like the cool thing to be “against” this. I don’t see this being funded and if by a miracle it funds at the end I definitely don’t see the stretch goals happening. 9,000 is no longer the target. The value for many is in obtaining every stretch goal. If that looks impossible, then many won’t back at all.
I was “toying” with the idea of getting this. I had figured out how to secure the funds this month and then…….Master of the Universe origins Eternia playset is announced to go for sale in a week. I had a lot of toys growing up, mostly garage sales and such, we were not that well off as a kid, but we did fine. Eternia was always that grail that was to far away. I remember seeing the upper wall in the toy section at our “Hills” department store was filled with Eternia. I never had it nor did I know anyone that had it. To buy an original complete in working order could be as high as $5,000. The $550 for the new version is steal, compared to the original. So after discussing with the wife, we decided Eternia is a must and can’t back ghost rider. Shame too, I just found a spot for the charger. I hope this funds for those that want this, even more so for those stretch items. Good luck. |

Okay, but which character is Satanic Panic? I can't find him in my encyclopedia.

I'm finding the project right now, to see where it goes, & after the Mephisto announcement I do see it as being a difficult character at best if they ever do release it. I still regret not getting Sentinel--at the time I didn't really understand the crowdfunding only aspect & figured they might sell it online to more people, because everyone would want 1, but no. Funny at the time a Hasbro exec asking a toy reporter how many of the previous sentinels they bought, as if the price was reasonable to buy multiple & have all those Logan's. And no, they've had plenty of characters that should raise eyebrows on the shelf this 1 would be able to be out there. It's more about the company's bias than people. You'd probably get some push back as u do with everything nowadays but I doubt they care about that group. It's fun for big corporations to piss off people concerned with children nowadays.
Already they missed 1 goal with this Haslab, an early fund marker they should've known wouldn't have been met, but Hasbro is kind of stupid when seeing what the fans want. Now it seems we won't even get to the Mephisto marker, so they announce a character (Goblin Queen) no 1 wants to fit that money for, that makes no sense being included with Ghost Rider. Demogoblin makes more sense. I guess they were serious about going into the obscure of Hell for these characters, while ignoring what fans actually want. Like they themselves want this to fail. If the 1st Haslab I decided & could fund isn't going to make those other tiers, I'm backing out. |

Anthony also doesn't like to say anything nice about Hasbro. He always has some innane nitpick that makes you wonder why he even bothers to review toys when he acts like he can do better, yet, I don't see him owning a multi billion dollar corporation with the Marvel license.

I watched the video and mostly agreed, except he repeated that old chestnut about how companies like Hasbro should just make Sentinels and Galactii and THEN hope they can find stores to carry such large items AND that people buy them, instead of getting the deposit up front to make them. Yes, Hasbro makes lots of money, but asking for money upfront isn't a bad thing, unless it's several hundred dollars for something clearly not worth the price

Exactly, two separate things. And he actually gave much higher scores to the most recent ML figures he reviewed compared to other more premium lines. But Hasblow sheeps won't mention that.

Robbie Reyes should include an alternate boney head so it can be used as Agents Of SHIELD's Ghost Rider.

Satanic panic was the new communism fear mongering. That rock music and daycares were involved in satanic rituals and grooming. There was no basis for me. Then it became video game violence turns kids into killers. You still see it today but goes by a new name. MAGA/GOP has really embraced it.
If it's popular, it must be evil. |

Just speaking about the Dark characters for an example -Hasbro Surtur , Mcfarlane Etrigan, Neca Nightmare wolves all seen sold and gone in target, walmart recently. world didnt end so no excuse to keep holding back these types of characters from fans that want them. (outside of exclusive Projects).
Fan channels obviously the perfect place for more stuff deemed controversial or adult themed . but no not big enough chunk of money to motivate that. Satanic panic was bullcrap in the 80s ! I had a friends mom break my skeletor figure when she saw us playing .she took a hammer to it when I wasnt looking .my mom never let play there again. I had few older friends that heavily played D&D before after school in the library. The shiny christian kids use to regularly bully them . |
