Neca's quarter scale Daredevil and Deadpool also came with quite a lot of accessories (and were fully articulated).
But, whatever, the point still stands I suppose. I dont know if I'd go so far as to call it a steal but, I guess it's fair-ish compared to Neca 1/4.

Exactly. Fair-ish is a good word for this Haslab. Nothing spectacular. Personally, if I have to choose between this or a Neca 1/4 fig for $125, I'd choose Neca.

I have quite a few quarter scale Neca figures (not those 2) and they are not very articulated I’m I scarred to death to even move the joints they did give them. And it’s not fair to compare them. Neca figures are 18 inches. Giant man is 24 inches.

As far as coolness….Neca will always win that one. The sculpts and details are unmatched and I still say the best figures ever made….ever….are the Neca TMNT film figures in both scales.

Strictly stating a fact. Most Neca 18 inch figures…..16 inches for the turtles come with few accessories, save the newer turtle figures. And Comparing an 18 inch figure with very little articulation with a 24 inch figure that has more articulation in its hand than most big figures have total is definitely not the way to go.

End of the day it’s up to each of us on whether this is worth it or not. I feel it’s worth it.

There is actually nothing I can pick apart about this campaign. Everything’s perfect. I would expect this to back easily. Most likely well north of 20,000.

Ti be fair, there is no reason for Giant man to come with extra hands when his hands are fully articulated. Also, I can't really think of many accessories a Giant man if this size would come with, other than other figures. I think the face plates and skrull head work just fine.

Man, at "only" $200? Really kinda tempting, in a different way than the Sentinel or Galactus that I would've liked to have gotten but just couldn't justify the expense....

This might be the first Marvel HasLab I actually take the plunge on.

I did not compare Neca's articulation to this Haslabs, nor am I the one that brought up Neca in comparison. I strictly focused on your strange comment on Neca accessories when this Antman has crap for accessories.

Yeah, Giantman's lack of accessories is not a point I'm arguing. I'm was just wondering why he thought Neca's amount of accessories were a demerit when they are often more than satisfactory enough, especially when compared to the amount of accessories offered in this Haslab. But if you want to go into it, they could have included damaged street/gravel like they did with the 20th anniversary Hulk or a corner of a building to accentuate the size of Giantman and for his Avenger buddies to fight around. The ML Hulk figures didn't need pipes or gravel as accessories either, but they were included. So they could have easily came up with accessories that complimented a Giantman as well if they wished to.

In my opinion hasbro Should have given normal sized version also .This is very cool if your wanting Antman , honestly how else would you get this sized figure .
Although Very rare but I have seen that giant neca Deadpool in target one time and another time years ago I saw the huge neca Jason Voorhess . Both were priced strangely one was 100 other 199 .After thinking about space I went back for a second look and were long gone by next visits.

Strange? Odd takeaway. Like I said. It’s either worth it or not to someone. My take is, if you do a figure correct, it shouldn’t need extra incentives. To me this figure is worth $199 as just him. I bought the barge for the barge. I bought the razor crest for the razor crest, galactus for galactus, Eternia for Eternia, the thunder cats lair for the lair….you get the point. I’ll buy Antman for Antman…not extra pieces that go in a drawer never to see the light of day again.

If you feel he’s not worth it, not a problem. We all get our opinions. There seem to be quite a few on different sites that feel as you do. So maybe hasbro should have anticipated that. I really can’t say. He is around a third backed, so I guess he’s doing ok.

I think accessories they could have provided was just swooshes and bam like effects.
If they included a 6 inch figure, then a printed backdrop of him growing would have been a nice touch.

I'm thinking a diorama approach. Heck how about a building for the Avengers to assemble on?

But that's more suggestion then it's required to make this a good offering. I think as it, this is a good offering.

Giant Man came out better than I expected. I didn't think I'd be paying only $200 for this Haslab. The no figure thing is a bit disappointing but Giant Man really is all I wanted. I'm not very interested in that zombie face but I definitely like the Skrull one. The new eye technology is super incredible and kind of creepy but awesome nonetheless. If it didn't piss off my family I'd get two and have Giant Man fighting the Skrull like War of the Gargantuas.

Only thing I can think of that's missing is possibly an unmasked head, or another masked head without angry eyebrows sculpted into it!

Definitely feels like something is missing here without her. Hopefully she'll earn a full-figure solo release somewhere down the line.

It's not the worth of the Haslab I didn't even really make an opinion on that. Like I said, I focused strictly on the strange accessories comment of Neca 1/4 figs when this Haslab has basically nothing in that department. Don't strawman into Neca articulation or the worth of the Haslab. I didn't say anything about those. Your knock on Neca's accessories remains unwarranted and strange to me.

Yeah I agree with the partial diorama of a building to accentuate his size and maybe a bent lamp post as a weapon. Or they could have added a smashed gravel effect like they did with the Anni Hulk figure to show off his strength and destructive effects of his size.

I'd rather have the accessories be Giant Man specific like the face plates and skrull head. I can get generic building parts and smashed ground effects anywhere. At this point I think some people are just looking for a reason to mot like this.

They can address the packaging. An open window with a cover will allow people to display Giant Man inside the box. If they could be really clever, a box that opens up and becomes a backdrop/display would elevate things without being that expensive to produce.

4x the size of a 6" figure at 8x the price.
I'm ok with the Goliath from Marvel Universe 70th Anniversary...

I’ll stick with my comment. The Neca 18” figures I own have few to no accessories and left me looking for more. Beside, being very fragile and almost statue like to me. They are not a good example of a large scale action figure. If you think otherwise, that’s your opinion. Kind of how opinions work. They don’t usually agree and everyone’s entitled to one. Kind of odd to me your hung up on this so I’ll quit with this conversation. Zero interest in arguing over Opinions about toys with a stranger.

It's not just 4 times the size, it's 4 times the height but the other dimensions are also increased and therefore the volume is well more than just 4 times more. If you take a simple box and double the length of each dimension then the larger box has a volume 8 times larger than the original box.

Haha. I have to agree with both of you. I guess your opinion on what a good action figure is at that scale paints a picture of what you do with them. I mostly pose and am done with them and they are statues till I pose them again. Unless you go pow pow with them than Neca will never be right for you. But it's all opinion based.

The backer count seems to be a slow trickle at this point. I know there is still over a month left for it to fund, but I hope we see a quick upward tick soon. Then again, I already know I'm going to back it but haven't done it yet just out of pure procrastination.
