List Marvel Legends made by Hasbro that are must-haves in your opinion. Hasbro started their run on Marvel Legends to VERY mixed reviews and it took a while for fans to get excited. Hasbro's Marvel Legends did not start to get a warm reception until the TRU 2 packs started. For example the way Hasbro Marvel Legends are viewed now is much different than back in 2007 when they 1st started.

Nonetheless, there have been some "gems in the rough" so to speak. Hate 'em or love'em, Toy Biz left Hasbro with huge shoes to fill for Marvel Legends. At this point, it seems that Hasbro has started to fit into those shoes more comfortably.

So on with the list!

Wolverine(tiger stripe, Target exclusive 2008 RULK wave)
This figure used the same mold from the Toy Biz wave 6 brown Wolverine BUT with new shoulder pads. In fact, early prototypes had different, hinged/swivel hands, but in the end it used the same hands as the Toy Biz Wolverine. The paint job and colors used are great, which is surprising since most yellow plastic that Hasbro uses ends up looking cheap. Not so with this one. This may actually be the best 6" Wolverine so far. For the tiger stripe versions, it certainly is the best. The Toy Biz wave 3 tiger stripe was too tall and had the torso in a fixed, twisted pose. The X Men Classics wave 1 version lacked double jointed knees and had some slot sticking out of the back. Also the plastic on this 2008 release felt more durable.

Symbiote Spiderman Black Costume(Target exclusive 2008 RULK wave)
Sure Toy Biz made 2 super articulated black Spiderman figures before, but one(2002) could've had had more articulation while the 2nd from Spiderman Classics(2004?) had excessive articulation which ruined the sculpt. The Hasbro black Spidey meets in the middle with a good sculpt and the necessary points of articulation without ruining the sculpt except for the lower leg swivels(which I never understood). The only thing this figure is lacking are rocker ankles.

Gladiator Silver Surfer
A great Silver Surfer body sculpt PLUS you get the weapons he used from Planet Hulk. The figure may be a bit small but nonetheless, for me, it didn't matter much. Plus who would have thought we would get a Gladiator Silver Surfer?

Classic Captain America from wave 3 2007 or 08
Surprisingly enough, Hasbro's initial simple aesthetic compared to Toy Biz at the time, worked in this figure's favor. Here we have a head sculpt that evokes the decades' old look of the classic books, aided by pale colored plastic. The figure is very very sturdy and was fun to mess with. This is one case where Hasbro's typical shortcomings in the line actually proved to be a strength.

Cyclops(Astonishing X-Men costume)
I hate Cyclops but his action figures tend to be cool. Well most of the time. This is a case where the figure turned out well. Fans had wanted an ASX figure since the book was well received, and plus Cyclops' ASX costume resembled his classic looks. The figure is very sturdy and even has a hand sculpted so that his fingers can be posed as if touching his visor to let out his optic blasts. Might be the best 6" Cyclops figure so far.

First Avenger Captain America
Holy crap. The weathered paint deco alone scored high points in my book but the sculpt is amazing and riddled with detail without being excessive. The shield works well since it is secured via 2 PVC straps(that don't have to be tied), and the figure stands up well to play. In my eyes, this was a sleeper hit of 2011 because it was one of the very best 6" figures I bought last year. It is also one of the best Captain America figures in that scale, ever made. If you thought the 4" figure was detailed, check out the 6" one.

Movie War Machine(from Iron Man 2 Walmart exclusive/Armored Avengers wave 1)
The only thing I hated about this figure was the lack of hinged ankles but otherwise, the sculpt is great, as well as the articulation and build quality. Hands down, THEE most sought after figure in the Iron Man 2 6" exclusive Walmart waves, followed by Iron Man Mark IV RDJ unmasked edition.

Avengers Movie Hulk(Walmart exclusive)
If you can actually stand up to the challenge of finding this thing(1 per case) due to the incredibly stupid decision to pack Iron man/Cap twice per case with everyone else once per case), Hulk is worth hunting down. We've seen Hasbro put out quite a few different 6" scale Hulk figures before, but none like this. Rocker ankles, great overall articulation and build quality, and a sculpt that completely destroys the 4" version, if you are a fan of Hulk in the Avengers movie at all, you ought to have this figure in your collection.

Nova Storm Human Torch(Walmart exclusive, forgot which year)
The 1st 6" Human Torch by Hasbro wasn't even the flame-on edition, and to add insult to injury, the excellent initial head sculpt from the prototype did not make it to final production. Instead we got a much-inferior head sculpt. Unfortunately, if you wanted a flame-on Torch, you had to get one of the Walmart exclusives. The Nova Storm version was the variant, and it looks excellent.

Classic Iron Man(from the TRU 2 pack)
Classic Iron Man was the 1st Marvel Legends Iron Man by Toy Biz in 2002, The Classic Iron Man by Hasbro, part of a TRU exclusive 2 pack, was based on the same design and had a much more streamlined and proportionate sculpt. It is at this point where Hasbro seemed to have reached a turning point for the better. This was one of the rare times that they managed to outshine a Toy Biz sculpt on the same design/character. While this has happened more and more since then, at the time of release, this wasn't the norm. While the Toy Biz version focused on a generous amount of articulation, the Hasbro version retained most of the articulation but emphasized sculpt. The result is an excellent take on the Classic armor which can be seen as a substantial improvement over the Toy Biz version.

For a good hefty toonish Hulk the Hulk/Valkyrie two pack Hulk is pretty awesome.

And the Thing from the Reed/Thing two pack is one of the best, despite no body articulation (has waist, I think)

FF Spidey from the Arnim Zola wave kicks ass too.

Hell no! Hasbro iron man better than toy biz? "it's like saying a Lincoln is better than a Cadillac. Forget about it."

Hasbro must haves: archangel, pyslocke, period.

I want Ares. He is a must have for me but not $100 must-have. I wish Hasbro would re-release him in single packaging and not BAF.

I'd have to say ToyBiz Beast and Bishop for sure. Awesome figures. Hasbro Crossbones is easily one of my favorites. And the 2-Pack Winter Soldier is a very solid figure with an awesome sculpt. Terrax wave Modern Thor is one of the nicest overall Hasbro has put out since taking over. I'd also like to add the SDCC X-Force pack, but that is based on looks alone. I haven't been able to score one yet.

Hasbro is definitely hitting their stride with Legends. ToyBiz Legends were great and all, but they honestly had some atrocious sculpts.

indeed, rogue...There's more than a fare share. That's why i'm so damn picky about older ML.

Just a personal favorite of mine: Kingpin

I plan on getting him. Nothing special but like his look

Hasbro 2packs, Deadpool/Warpath either version,
Black Widow/Winter Soldier either version
Kree/skrull
Hand ninja/Shield
Arnim Zola Wave: Thunderball, Piledriver, BTS,FF4 Spidey, masked daken, fantomex, bucky cap(awesome mold)
Terrax Series: Terrax baf, Ghostrider, Thor, Rogers, Hope,
SDCC Thor,
SDCC x-Force 3pack
Ares series: Vision, Ares baf, Kang, Crossbones,Guardian, and really liked Heroes Reborn Iron Man,
Red Hulk Series: Black Suit spidey, tiger stripe Wolverine, silver savage, Captain Britain. Red Hulk baf
Brood Queen series: Astonishing Cyclops, Black Knight, Hydra soldier
FFF Series: She Hulk, End Hulk,

after that, I could suggest more, but forget what wave/series Toybiz ended on and Hasbro started and rather then guess, will leave it like this for now.

Oh also 1 of my fav figures, is Movie version War Machine, in 6'' and 3.75'' scale, both awesome figures.

There wasn't a Captain Britain. Are you referring to Union Jack? If so he was a badass figure
