I think it is safe to say that Hasbro tried too hard on this 2 pack…Not a good look in my opinion…Easy pass!

Damn, Hasbro. They got me with the Hydro-man held hostage with a DD I don't really care for beyond the hands and gritting-teeth portrait...

For me, the worst part is that the shading isn't applied consistently. Why are his shins/forearms completely missing the shading? It makes the paintjob not only look crappy but also unfinished.

I think it's trying to imitate how sometimes (frequently?) in the comics, the boots and gloves would be shaded less harshly than the suit to imply like... a different sheen, if not a different shade, of red?

Yeah, it varies from artist to artist, lighting conditions, etc but, it's supposed to be the costume is perpetually back lit with the gloves, boots, belt and insignia unaffected. So those tend to either be minimally lit or detail cut out altogether.

Ok. Comic book style inked shading. I still like it! Also, this comes with two DD heads, and the DD logo is much more easily visible. I think this is better than the one in a 3-pack, imo.

I think they’re trying to convey that those unpainted parts are gloves and boots. Say, if they’re painted all the way to the tip of the fingers/toes, it won’t look like he’s wearing gloves/boots. Just saying.

I have yet to see this type of shading look decent let alone good. I wish manufacturers would retire this technique...the jury's in and the verdict is ‘please stop’

I know exactly ZERO people that like it. A shame too. That DD is nice.

To do the shading right, they need to cast DD in a red so deep it's nearly black then paint the highlights on in the same shade as his costume normally is.

Yeah these two Deadpool figures are re-releases . Thats fine the movie is coming soon and all older deadpools are too expensive on the aftermarket now (except ladydeadpool still under retail). Something for casual and new fans to buy .

Back then I somehow just kept missing out on Retro Deadpool for other purchases so it's nice that I can have another chance to finally get it. For me, the metallic blue really gives it that look from the Joe Kelly run.

Ikaris, Wolfsbane, Cable, Ka-Zar and Zabu all look great (in that order) and make me a lock for the wave, with Dark Winter being an ambivalent throw-in (neat to have).

Dugan makes the shield pack a pick-up and I’m frustrated that Heinrich will make me the owner of a third Zola (that I don’t really want...).

I’m more than a little flummoxed by a deluxe Sam Cap; the only difference from the three pack seems to be the wings and pack. I remain excited for it but will have to determine if there's enough value there to rate a grab.

Based on the size of the teased dagger, I think Skaar is finally here…I hope. Pretty good effort, all around. I wasn’t expecting much and got more than I anticipated.

I want that Zabu BAF like crazy. Ikaris and Black Winter. But I don't "need" them. Guess I'll be buying a sabretooth cat on eBay.

A couple of these could pass for MOTU characters at a quick glance.
