Like match as in mix and match? Because if so, definitely not.

Awesome! Maybe if sales of the VHS stuff is poor enough they will ditch that line half way through and give us the rest of the characters they were planning on Retro cards without cell shading instead.

Yeah, I figured. I wish Hasbro would just re-release hard to get characters sometimes. I don't mean the completed BAF like this (which I do love and appreciate them doing), but the original as well.

My childhood brain always remembered his name pronounced as “alpaca-lips” identifiable by his big purple lips.

They could, but that would kill the whole VHS box aesthetic.

I sold the Apocalypse BAF head a couple years ago for $90 and the rest of the parts I had were excellent trade bait. The Age of Apocalypse version didn't appeal to me but I like this one. I don't know if it'll ruin the aesthetic or not if it had a wash at least on the leg. It's a bit plasticky right now.

Ive been hoping for more xmen animated villains . This is a winner hope its not expensive and available everywhere. last deluxe age of apocalypse version was 30 so this will probably be 35.99 -37.99 $
Bring on the animated series version of Sabertooth next please
A deluxe Blob would be awesome also and a big seller.

Maybe you can fudge Kingpin and Hammerhead, but Mysterio and Hobgoblin most certainly aren't. Hobgoblin has the wrong cape, the wrong face, and the wrong glider. Mysterio doesn't look a thing like his animated counterpart. The boots are wrong. He doesn't have a belt. The colors are also incorrect.

The Spider-Armor Spidey is also not from the animated series. I just watched I Really Really Hate Clones the other day.

Don't see the problem with this. This screams "Pooky gonna destroy dat ass" TAS Apocalypse, and thankfully is missing that idiotic cell shading that is ruining Jean and Storm.

This is the Apocalypse I've wanted for years.

It's Hasbro. Have you seen their Gaming Greats Black Series figures? Many of them are completely wrong. they're lazy as shit with "Retro".

Shit, look at Black Krrstan coming. It's some skinny ass Chewie and not remotely Black K.

No, I don't because I don't pay attention to Star Wars that much. I've got everyone but Palpatine that I could ever want sans maybe a few more Storm Troopers. Plus, my stores rarely have anything instock. I never saw the Rebels crew.

I don't even know who Black Krrstan is.

deco inspired by the character’s classic appearances throughout Marvel Comics
Why don't they just say he's inspired by the animated series?

What exactly are Apocalypse's mutant abilities?

(Maybe "exactly" is a poor choice of words)

He's immortal and big and obsessed with the Christian Book of Revelations?

He has total molecular control of his body and he has been further enhanced by Celestial technology. He can also enhance the power of others by making them one of his four horsemen. His most frequently used powers tend to be direct body manipulation (altering his size or creating weapons) and energy projections (often from said weapons). He's also demonstrated as being either immune or at least highly resistant to telepathy. In short he has a really broad range of powers, pretty much whatever the writer at the moment wants him to have.

I hope someone does an early review of him and does some headswaps and gunhand swaps with the Hasbro BAF Apocalypse. I prefer an Apocalypse head that doesn't show his teeth... also would really like to have my Apocalypse with both the claw and gun hands at the same time.

The colors are animation/Toy Biz accurate, not the molding, the retro line is also almost all reuse with no new tooling. The VHS line is the same way, too, Hasbro is gonna Hasbro and keep things close enough to save a buck. Occasionally you get a new head, but that's about it.

Armored Spidey also is an outlier since he's not accurate to much anything. He was probably an abandoned Gamerverse Legend if anything.

It's hard to pin down what his base powers were before he became the Celestials' #1 draft pick. The strength and size/shape changing seem to be considered all natural with the immortality and other gifts due to enhancement.

It doesn't seem like the Hasbro BAF Apocalypse is dropping in price on ebay... I guess the Retro version is different enough that it doesn't affect the BAF version too much. The VHS re-releases seems to be bringing down the scalper prices of their counterparts though I think.

Tbh prices don’t drop like they use too, for example the lizard baf is still the same outrageous price even though we are getting a way better version that doesn’t look like a dinosaur.
