I was never one for rare things. Unless its Classic Havok...damn. Blue Beast or nothing for me. However if I did come across a grey beast at a garage sale or a toyfair for dirt cheap, I wouldn't complain :P

So I accidentally bought two Showdown Doc Ock's (long story), and each came on a different card. The figure and contents of the package look the same, although Doc's paint is a little darker on one (almost like one has a more "worn" looking suit and the other is more even and a little darker, which looks "new").

Notice that this card says "Marvel Legends Showdown" at the top..

..and this one says "Super Hero Showdown" at the top..

And I also got Beast, which is on the same card as the top Doc.

I just got Magneto.. solid figure. I never really liked the look of the MU Comic Pack version (although I bought a cheap loose one just to have the spare head for the Showdown version) that looks to me like a really high-waisted old man figure. I only have three Showdown figures, but of the three I have Magneto is the MU Cable of the line as far as articulation goes... he even has the rocker ankles like Cable, Cyclops, and Mod Armor Ironman.

I just picked up a lot of Marvel Showdown and will be posting pics later. The Thor is truly a great figure and the others are pretty cool as well.

Hook it up, omega.

Any chance Ghostrider was in that lot? I think he might be my next Showdown purchase.

I already had the showdown ghost rider and I dont like the figure at all. Wish I would have gotten the bike though and would have used it with the MU Ghost Rider.

Well that's disappointing to hear. From the pictures I've seen the head looks pretty weak, but I like the look of the suit.

The head on the single pack ML Showdown Ghost Rider is better than the one on the Ghost Rider packaged with the bike. I'll post pics later if I get a minute.

Here are pics of my recent Marvel Legends Showdown figures and some comparison shots with the Marvel Universe toy line. Thor is an amazing figure although I forgot to take a shot of him with the SDCC Thor which is my personal MU favorite Thor. Captain America is pretty terrible and both spidermans are very cool. Thing is a great figure and the Iron Man and Daredevils are ok. Colussos, Wolverine, Hulk are all decent. The articulation is much greater on these as opposed to the Marvel Universe line but most have very loose joints and some of the paint apps are better than others. Dr Doom is my least favorite and is crushed when compared with the 2 pack MU Dr Doom.

I had picked up Thing, Ghost Rider, Yellow Daredevil, invisbile woman, Venom a few months ago as a bagged lot at the NJCC. The rest I bought as a lot off of a seller here on toyark a few days ago. I have the Beast coming in the mail.

Super Hero Showdown was the first wave. They decided to change it to Marvel Legends Showdown later.

Nice collection autobot. That Cyclops is pretty terrible when compared to the new wave MU Cyclops. Hows' the Showdown Namor? Did he actually come with that Shark?
I'd like to get that Moleman, is he a decent figure?

Thanks for the info, Goldbug.

That Thor is pretty nice, omega. I think him and DD are going on my need list, and you convinced me to pass on Ghostrider.

Moleman and Spidy were already on my list.

Thor should definetely be on your want list. Daredevil is ok, nothing too special about him. The Ghost Rider bike should be on your list as well even if you dont get the figure so that you can use that with your MU Ghost Rider. I'm still needing to pick that bike up from ghost rider, mole man and doc ock.

That Thor is pretty rad, but too pricy for me. I think the upcoming 3-pack Thor will be perfectly serviceable as a classic Thor for me.

Namor does come with that shark if you buy the Riders pack. I'll probably put the wave 15 Namor on me shark. Win-win.

I'm passing on MLSD GR's bike (Ketch) because it doesn't match the MU GR (Blaze). An older Harley-chopper would be more appropriate. Hoping that Hasbro produces one with moving wheels soon.

I have red Daredevil, Venom, Mole-man (must have hole-filler), blue Beast, Mr Fantastic (junk), Namor on shark, and Doc Ock (nice).

That thor does look sweet, same with Beast, Toad and Electra. DD both classic and modern and Doom, silver surfer look as good or similiar to the MU versions.

Damn,.. that Thor definitely isn't cheap. And I thought Beast was the priciest. I might look into that new three pack Thor as well,.. if it is a different mold, or at least head sculpt than the Comic Pack.

I don't say it often but that Thor is easily worth every penny. It's a great figure and much better than any of the Marvel Universe figures.
I'll say it again, the Doom is pretty terrible when compared to the Marvel Universe version. The cape is terrible and his face sculpt is awful.
Ill keep an eye out for you Ken on a Thor.

Mole man is great! Go mine for a buck and he looks great next to the FF!

SUCH an odd choice for an intial figure though! Did someone say, "We could make Ultron or Mr. Sinister...wait! I know! Mole Man!"
