Been waiting forever for a good Jack figure. I can't wait to get my hands on this one.

Morbius looks awesome. And don't you know you can't say he craves blood. You have to say it's plasma he's after.

MOrbius is a fantastic figure, but the way Hasbro did his cape bothers me. His cape is supposed to be under his arms, so it can only go as high as he lifts his arms. However, there is no way his cape should be as high as the open one Hasbro gave us since his cape is attached to his elbows. As such, it shouldn't have been able to reach higher than the mid section of his chest.

As I said in the ML discussion though, I wish they had given us his 90s costumes instead of the cheesy 70s one. He's supposed to be stalking raves not disco parties.

I've really loved this wave. I sold off Spider-Ben, Venom, and Absorbing Man, but the rest are welcome additions to the collection. Gwen's articulation is limited (Hasbro really needs to figure out a new hip configuration, at least for agility-based characters of all genders and bodytypes) and I would prefer some more hands (they answered this issue with the Spider-Men, so hopefully they'll do so with future female figures too), but she's a solid figure who stands out on the shelf. Beetle scratches the itch that started with Wasp, but with enough differences to make her a welcome addition. Morbius is fantastic, and poses great with Ghost Rider and Dr. Strange. Speed Demon is just too fly for words - his alternate hands and the use of the slender Spider-buck make him a posing dream, especially when combined with that shit-eating grin he sports. Jack is a bit of an odd man out due to his more unique buck and articulation, but he's creepy and can likewise due some whacked-out poses, and despite the hands, his accessories' handles hold them quite snugly. He's definitely in need of a flight stand, but still looks great just standing there.

I know exactly what you're talking about. Man, the 90's Spider-Man cartoon did some dumb shit back in the day.

Speed Demon is that filler figure of the wave. I sure he fills a slot in somebody’s Marvel Legends collection and I don’t want to hate on him to hard.
I don't blame you for thinking this about Speed Demon at all, but if you read The Superior Foes of Spider-Man, he becomes a must-have along with Beetle and Boomerang.

The funny part of that was when I was little I thought the sucker things in his hands were way creepier then him just biting somebody on the neck.

Still I want them to release that show on DVD so bad. I've already got Batman, Superman, Batman Beyond, and X-Men so Spider-Man is the last show from my childhood not fully released on DVD. I've got those individual releases they put out for the movies but the episode selection is so damn random.

Yeah, I was originally gonna toss Speed Demon and just keep Beetle, but after looking up some Superior Foes pages, not only did I keep Speed Demon, but now I'm in the market for a Boomerang, dagnabbit. (Thankfully he's still pegwarming at some stores)

Your evolving taste is admirable. And yup, I just got a Boomerang as well...he's warming many a peg around here, so he was easy to find.

Now we just need Hasbro to make Shocker and Overdrive and the team will be complete!

I also remember The Punisher and his arsenal of "non-lethal" weapons like net guns and shit, Carnage not being a serial killer, everyone (including police!) armed with "nice" laser guns that just stunned people, no one could say "kill" or "dead," etc.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the show as a kid, but even then that stuff was lame. Nowadays, they wouldn't censor much, if any of that stuff.

They never released the full series on DVD? Wow, that's odd.

Yup I remember all that goofy stuff. And nope just 5 individual DVDs with a random collection of episodes that tied into whatever movie was coming out.

The heads on all the symbiotes except Carnage have been crazily proportioned.

Are you referring to specific features or just the overall size of the heads?

Wait, they brought the entire X-Men series on DVD? I thought they only did a few individual volumes for like the first season.

Agreed on Spider-Man. Sure, the show hasn't aged well, but I would love to actually be able to finally watch the damn episodes in order. God it frustrated me to no end when they would just skip around the story arcs. One weekend I'm watching Neogenic Nightmare Chapter 8, the next weekend it's Chapter 11 and I had to wait several months for them to air 9 and 10. Then during Sins of the Fathers they took like a 6 month break between episodes.

Venom is probably my favorite figure of the wave. I personally prefore the grinning head over the slobbering one.

Yup there's five volumes that have all the X-Men episodes in order. They've got some sweet covers too.

There were some on the last set that I don't even remember seeing.

Interesting. I might have to hunt them down at some point. Did they ever also release all of X-Men Evolution on DVD?

As for the episodes on Volume 5, I thought the origin of Mr Sinister one was one of he best episodes of the entire franchise. It's a shame only aired on TV like once.

Not to my knowledge which really bums me out. I loved that show.

The weirdest part is that the 90s Spider-Man cartoon did show up on Netflix. The entire thing, despite never having a proper DVD series set.

X-Men Evolution did by the way get released on DVD, but never as a full series set.

It must be gone because when I looked last summer it was not on Netflix. At this point I'm just going to have to download the whole thing. I'm holding out in hopes that with Civil War Disney is going to announce a Complete Series Collection or something for it, but if not, off to the bay it is.
