I have a feeling that much like the trend this will be another instance for Disney/Hasbro to understand that the "older" IPs would sell better than the more modern. Just shows the lack of confidence mixing both movie versions into one set for Professor and Magneto, you know they would have gladly made 4 figures instead of this a 2 pack with different heads.

Definitely skewed more Romijn than Lawrence, and just like someone else said, digging the new? female body sculpt (could be wrong just some detail changes), would like to see more of this on future ML female figures.
I don't think it's a lack of confidence, I think it's a lack of time and window to get figures released. These are this years version of the 80th Marvel Anniversary figures from last year or the Marvel Studios 10th Anniversary figures from the year before, so like those series' while they're going to put out a nice selection of figures from the X-Men films (or at least DoFP and Deadpool 2), these are not planned on continuing on and having say 3 or 4 waves of figures. So instead of trying to find space to put out a Stewart here and a McAvoy there, they are just going to knock it all out with one simple two pack.

Impossible. You've clearly demonstrated that you wouldn't recognognize "better" if you tripped over it.

X3 had it's moments, I'll give you that. (And I dare the next iteration to do better than Kelsey Grammar as Beast.)

Kelsey was a great voice for Beast. Could do without the Cookie Monster suit. LOL

Maybe but even a bad practical effect costume can beat a poorly aged mid-00's CGI model any day.

DoFP is still one of my all time favorite Superhero movies... the rest of the X-Flicks trend to fall pretty far down the list. I would have loved DoFP (future) Magneto and Xavier

That head sculpt on Wolverine looks more like Simon Pegg rather than Hugh Jackman.

I remember when they were going to release a Mystique figure of Jennifer Lawrence's version but she didn't want it released because she didn't want a figure of herself "naked". Oh the irony now lol.

Here's the post of it from ToyArk: https://news.toyark.com/2014/08/11/x...ncelled-135360

It's not ironic when the ML Mystique doesn't look like Lawrence either, thankfully.

How is it a joke? Traditionally jokes are funny or clever, his was just a completely irrelevant statement

Come on, people. Those leaks were some serious invasion of privacy. No need to take it there.

I think the Mystique looks more like Rebecca. But can easily pass for either actress, which is good IMO.

No need to get upset. Jennifer Lawrence is not even a real person.
