I was wondering if they would delay these, and they have. I should have known that the original release date was too good to be true. I wonder what stores, if any, will actually stock these.

Love that Chief comes with the most Halo 2-y weapons ever. Brute Plasma Rifles!

I've been saying this forever to my friends, (who do nothing but sing the praises of how "revolutionary and creative Bungie is,") that their new game "Destiny", from a design and look standpoint, really isn't all that new or creative looking. In fact, it comes off looking like nothing more than another rehash of Halo...only this time...the spartans wear capes...

That figure of Master Chief only confirmed it for me. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw it.

That said, with Destiny coming around the time of this figure's release, I wonder if this variant of Master Chief was ordered to be done on purpose by Microsoft as a way of taking a sideswipe at Bungie's current project. It's a cool looking figure though nevertheless, and it kills two birds with one stone, as not only do Halo fans get a neat MC, but "Destiny" fans will be able to get their very first figure in the series! =P

Finally reading the descriptions for the figures, I noticed this:

Quote:
Our figure includes that Data Crystal Chip on a chain
Does that mean what I want to think it means? That we're getting essentially a prop replica of Cortana's data chip with this figure? or is this something added to the figure itself? Like he's wearing it?

If it's a replica, like I hope it is, that'll make this figure a must-have on it's own. That said, I don't want to get overly excited, this is still McFarlane after-all.
