The little one can totally stand on his own, you just have to plant him on a flat surface from the lower legs or feet. Regarding the main figure itself, I overall love it but mine kept falling on his face until I put him on a base. The legs are fairly loose in the knees (especially the lower joint) so combined with his lifted boot tips he has serious balance issues. I do think the falling issue is just mine since every review I watched didn't seem to have this problem but placing him on a base solved it and of course allows for more dynamic stances (I have him in a very heroic strut).

I may have to get a select Winter Soldier if they're releasing one for the new movie, I have Antman, Widow and Hawkeye and they are fantastic.

I hope so. The old select one looks nice but lacks articulation.

not that i've heard anything, but judging by diamond select's past track record of marvel selects, i would think that's a definite. that's always been my complaint about them really.... too many movie version figures that they produce and less comic versions.

Would the issues between Marvel and Fox prevent this?

Anyway, they just announced a new Spectacular Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Avenging Captain America (from Living Legend).

wouldn't fit considering the select is a TAD larger of a figure, there for the ball joint in the ant-man select figure is of course larger then the hasbro one, that is IF the hasbro one even has a ball joint. i know majority of the new ones do but not sure of the Ant-man one.

I prefered the Select version as opposed to the legends one.... just looked right to me compared to the legends version. As i've said before, i have a love/hate relationship with Marvel Select and their figures. i hate that that make dozens of movie characters over and over again, but i love when they make awesome figures like Venom and Carnage.

Yeah I went with the select Ant-Man over legends just because the legends one is so inaccurate. Of course it's my luck that just like Venom he has difficulty standing without a base.

I'm taking the plunge and I'm going g to get rid of my Marvel Legends and collect Marvel Select figures instead. The price difference between the two here in the UK is a few pounds (in favour of Select) and I love the sculpts and accessories that come with Selects.

I wouldn't do that just yet, remember while selects are more superior to legends paint and quality wise, remember diamond select only puts out a fraction of the characters legends put out. Thats what got me started in legends

Finally had time to free Abomination from his box... this guy is just such a massive figure. He'll go nicely next to juggernaut, red hulk hulk..

Received an email from marvelshop.com announcing comic book GOTG figures. They're all up for preorder now and look to be available on Feb. 27.
