While I am firmly a ML fan, I do have several MS figures, which I went out of my way to get, namely:

Iron Man (Civil War film)
Colossus (love the classic attire)
Magneto (same as above)
Gambit (thirded!)
Ultron
Dr Doom
Sabretooth
The Wolverine (film)
Thor (film)

They're quite expensive here in Australia, so I can't get as many as I'd like.

^ IMO The Select Winter Soldier is awesome... superior to the ML version. Both the Disney Store comic version and the MCU versions are awesome.

And I remember when they first came out I went to every LCS in my area looking for the variant unmasked Magneto, but I was always too late and all they had left were the helmet versions.

There are some selects that just completely blow away their legends counterparts away. I was a big select collector however due to MS just trying to cash in on the movie style figures and they don't do enough comic versions.that made me switch to ML.

Imo these select versions BLOW away their ML counterparts with looks, paint, and size.

Silvestri Hulk
Red hulk
Abomination
Juggernaut
Carnage
Venom
Anti venom
Rhino

i want this SOOOO bad.. i just don't want to purchase an entire figure for that effect. I had bought another Select Thor right before this one...and cant justify buying another because they are so similar

Im not sure if you could get them for regular pricing anymore. But yea definitely far superior to their legends counterparts. You can do 3 different looks for venom and carnage has his classic black and red face and his modern all red face with like another 20 attachments his hands.

For me it's Juggernaut and Colossus. IMO, the best versions of those characters in action figure form.

I think legends scales down the big guys too much.

If the fig is meant to be big, then i go with select.

Example, age of ultron hulk - the MCU hulk does not stand up straight, in the movies, with him lurched forward, most of the team comes up to his nipples.

Lurch the select forward a bit, BINGO perfect size.

exactly, thats what i do. if a character is big then i buy a diamond and if he is regular size then i stick with legends. they scale perfectly actually

My LCS just got in a restock of the Select Venom with all the extra mini symbiote heads, so looks like he was re-released.

Well it is Venom and he's enjoying a resurgence in popularity. I got my Select Venom during the first re-release when they corrected some of the paint stuff so yay re-releases.

I'd really like DST to re-release Rhino. I passed on him the first time around but now that I've gotten more of Spidey's other villains I'm kicking myself for not having him as part of the group.

If they re-release Rhino I pray they fix the legs, the articulation was awful!

About a year ago I bought a MS Deadpool and was frankly unimpressed. Far to bulky and very little poseability for my tastes.

Today at a comic shop I found one that looked so nice I really didn't care about articulation, Carnage. Getting it out and...how come they all can't be like this? This thing is wonderful!

TONS of accessories, very nice articulation and the sculpt is gorgeous.

Though I have a question. I paid $30 for it, was that a good price?

thing being with Marvel Selects they have ALOT better detail then marvel legends. my collection started with selects but i ended up going to legends for the simple fact, that selects don't have that big of variety of characters to choose from. i don't believe EVER in a million years will select ever come out with characters like death's head II, deathlok, machine man, Man-thing, and even sasquatch. that was why i decided to go the legends route. don't get me wrong. If they come out with something i like, i will most defintely end up buying it.

As far as Carnage and Venom selects. i feel IMO they are FAR superior with accesories, looks etc then the legends versions. the select carnage blows the legend version out the door. did you get a good deal for $30 ? they usually only go for $20ish but due to that being such a desireable figure i would think so.

I think the standard price for most Select figures is $25. But Carnage has been out for a while now and a lot of sellers online were trying to get far more than $30 for Carnage when he was first released.

Thank you guys.

I still think I prefer Legends overall, but...dang Carnage is a good figure. I'm tempted to get the Juggernaut they had as well.
