Looking pretty good. Much better than the current ML Infinite version. I need me a Spidey, getting movie fever, but just don't dig the ML ones. This might do it for me.

What do you not dig about the ML one? I have him and he is one of the best Spidey figures they have ever made. I love the recessed webbing so much more than the raised.

The head looks a bit squished, and the webbing paint is sloppy. The combo of those 2 things just turns me off.

I like the head sculpt better than the ML version, but that is about it.

I think the Mafex one are the best representation of this Spidey. Just my opinion

I still personally think that outside of some of the excellent Marvel Legends Spidey's we've gotten over the years, that the Spidey from the FIRST movie is still the best. That figure still holds up to all the offerings we've gotten since, and holds up even to some of the fantastic figures from Japan that have been coming out recently.
I really liked the ML Infinite Spidey a lot. I liked the webbing wash, that unique shoulder articulation (allowing Spidey to fold his arms!) I also really dug the head sculpt as well. Bout the only thing I didn't like the gap in his hip joints. This Spidey is pretty decent, I really like the sculpt, and especially the webbing, but for the higher price tag, I just wish they would at least include a proper thigh or calf swivel, or at least a waist swivel. I understand that the Select series is supposed to be a more high end figure/poseable statue line, but that ab crunch really makes for some awkward looking poses. Hopefully this figure actually comes out looking this way, and not the way the first ASM figure did. The lousy paint apps on that figure caused me to pass one it whenever I would run into it. |

Marvel Select figures always seemed lacking to me. But if you don't mind not having super-poseability in your Spidey figure, then have at it, Tony.

I'd love to get this and use it to swap heads with Superior Spider-Man to give him the a non-mask look.
