Just finished my review of the Play Arts Kai Variant Iron Man figure.

I know a lot of people aren't too fond of the PAK variant look, but I liked it and want to add it to my Iron Man collection. Overall it's a pretty nice figure with some great detail in the paint and sculpt and nice accessories. My major issues were with the soft-plastic waist area, it does help with articulation but it just looks off in certain poses. And some of the joints were a bit loose, especially the shoulders. The stand they give you is also pretty meh, it took me quite a bit of finagling to finally get him in a flying pose.

Did you encounter any stuck joints?

No, I actually had a problem with loose joints. The inside hinge joint of the shoulders was really loose. Both shoulders had the issue. When the shoulder was pushed all the way in they held well but if it was extended away from the socket it was really floppy.

The diaphragm joint was a bit on the loose side as well but not as bad as the shoulders.
