If we don't get a Hammer Osborn because of this, I'm going to be really unhappy. That's a figure I would actually spend the money on... And it made damn sense! Save the exclusives for a later series that doesn't have a specific character who is on the back of every card.
This is a waste in my opinion. At least the fans are getting a new ML Deadpool. |

Well looks like I have no choice in getting a subscription now.
3 down, 5 more to go. (X-23, Wolfsbane, Domino, Elixir, and Vanisher) |

What a shame.
I was hoping for Osborn so I wouldn't be too put out if I couldn't get a subscription (like I was regarding Fury). Also, it would have matched last year's trend. Oh, well. C'est la vie.

Archangel would have been better as a repaint for single carded figures. Now it looks like we may not get a Norman Osborn head any time soon.
I just hope that when they do release Osborn that it is not apart of a horrible 3-pack. I do not wait extra crap figures. UNLESS it's his female director....mmm she's nice. Maria Hill Nick Fury Stark (unmasked/in suit something alter ego) Osborn |

Oh well, at least it wasn't another Spider-Man molded in slightly different blue.
And we've got two Pet Avengers coming in the regular line this year, so it's not like Hasbro isn't coming through for the fans. |

I'm really torn over the result. On the one hand, I can't really afford a subscription so if Osborn had won{he's the only one I really wanted} I would have missed out. But since he didn't win, will we get an Osborn? I'm not a big Angel or Ms. Marvel fan so Osborn was my pick. One would think that even with his "shine time" coming to an end that he still will be a player in the Marvel Universe and thus deserve a figure down the road but here's a question that I still have. We've seen the Ms. Marvel figure{though I think my custom one is just as good and they should do her in a Moonstone costume} and of course we've seen the Archangel figure{and we already had figured on an eventual repaint} but we were never shown anything for Osborn except the card art, so was there ever a chance of getting him? My thoughts are that they figured on Archangel winning. Just a thought.

Osborne losing sucks.
Archangel and Ms Marvel were definite repaints that would have eventually showed up in the main release line. Unless Hasbro's already sculpted a Norman head, the Osborne figure may never see the light of day now. |

This sucks. But it's hard to blame Hasbro. Most people voted not realizing they would get this figure anyway.
Really disappointed though. |

Wait... its says to sign up for marvel digital comics at NYCC. Does that mean only people who attend NYCC will be able to get this? Or, will it be available to people who don't go and just sign up online?

Last year you could buy Nick Fury at the cons if you signed up for the subscription. No wait on him being mailed to you. This will probably be the same. |

i voted for Osborn since that was the only "new" figure. the other two are simple variants especialy w/ that smug look Archangel has on his face. also, Fury was the 1st Osborn shoulda been a no brainer

On the flipside, it'll do its job. I'm already waiting to sign up for the subscription now.
While this sucks for cost. I want that figure NOW. |

So if NYCC 2010 is October 8 - 10, what are the chances that Hasbro already has a bunch of Archangel, Dark Ms Marvels and Norman Osbornes already made up ready to go but not assigned to a specific wave yet?
I mean, what's the lead time to get a bunch of carded action figures made per a fan poll and ready to give away in October, which was less than 7 months away at the time? |

The only reason I say that is because of the website. They have what appears to be card art for Dark Ms Marvel which is a good sign, Archangel obviously won and though Osborn has what appears to be cardart its just what appears on the back of every package so it doesn't prove anything t ome. Thats my conspiracy theory |

Well and the exclusives are boxed too. So they wouldn't really need card art for them. Just new trays. Depending on what the fury box looked like at least.

Whether they do or not, I don't see the need to crank out Fury-type packaging. I didn't want to pay $30 for Fury at the time and I didn't want to give up room for the packaging for such a small figure either. |

Who said the give-away figure was going to be boxed? You mean like Fury was? What if they just give away carded figures, sort of like SDCC09 gray Cap but without the sleeve? Or they could quickly print out some sleeves. All the Invaders were single carded too but in a fold-out box.

I didn't want to pay $30 for Fury at the time and I didn't want to give up room for the packaging for such a small figure either. NYCC or SDCC packaging will be different for whatever those figures are if they are doing them again this year. |
