Last Saturday was Free Comic book Day, and like the last 5 years I lined up on the sidewalk to wait for the free comics and discounted toys. I don't get there very often, but the last figure I got from that line was the AoU Hulk, and that was last July! Well finally they had the Black Widow I had been so patiently waiting to find, and 20% off! It's really a great figure, other than a reddish skin tone on the neck and the hair being too brown. Easy to fix though.

Of course this is also kind of bad, as it shows why the toy companies shouldn't wait so long between releasing figures. Like seriously, the movie's hype sells toys the best!

So basically, even though a movie was released a year ago, you still have a chance of finding the figure you wanted!

There's a Comic-Con in KC every spring and last year I picked up the Marvel Select Black Widow. Most vendors had her priced at $25 to $30 but I got mine for $15. At first I was just going to try to fix her wonky eyes, but I got carried away and completely repainted her. Her articulation is really awesome and I'm surprised that figure doesn't get the credit it deserves.

Luckily mine has good paint apps, but I loved that figure. She's fantastic.
