75% of it for me is how much money and valuable figs your willing to rip apart to make one fig.. hybrid Broly is not cheap and the hair extension is from a 6inch ssj4 Goku, also expensive.. oh well, my kid's happy so it's worth it.

As for the Original Ultraman I think the mask is a different sculpt as this one has a bit of a smirk to it. I don't have the first version with me but when I get home I'll check.

YU-DO Lupinranger VS. Patoranger fully revealed. They took a lot of feedback on the last Yu-do and they go over the improvements in the blog (also shows all the Reds without stickers). The line up will have ALL 6 rangers in a single case plus a 7th box with weapons.

Only complaint so far is the assortment problem is striking again. It's a case of 12 and there's 7 types. 2 have to be one per case and I'm betting it's the women.

And AmiAmi does have preorders already:

I might have to pass on those. I hate the stickers and I hate having to paint them instead of stickers.

I would gladly pay more for them to just be decorated right to begin with.

Are there any companies doing military or fantasy figures? Lots of figures that look like Power Rangers and Ultraman posted here. I actually enjoy looking at what is posted but was wondering if there are other genres being produced in Japan right now at the 4 inch scale?

Look up the HACKS figures, they do some nice fantasy stuff. Wish there was more out there tho. I'd love a decent D&D line.

Hong Kong has more of the Military based figures like from Acid Rain, War of Order by Devil Toys, and Planet Green Valley.

Here are the first to War of Order figures up for pre-order at BBTS

Planet green valley seems to have a more astronaut vibe

There is also a historical line called Water Margin 108 also out of Hong Kong. They have 3 figures so far.

UI Goku(not sure how they'd do the effect, but would like to see them try, silver eyes and light blue highlights)

I also recently came across another set of figures for Monster Hunter 4G.
I couldn't tell the scale for the longest time but then came across a comparison picture next to some Boss Fight VHACK.
The set can be pretty pricey going from around 85-100. I ordered a set from ebay so I should have a set pretty soon for comparison.
