The first series of MU figures has 10-11 figures and slowly kept getting smaller and smaller, now 2packs, 3 packs or limited sdcc/mailout/variant exclusives are the growing future. We all no matter where we live see the same pegs filled with IM2, Spiderman and some MU figures that to you, you already have. Imagine if they retooled the packaging and included a BAF part, so that you wanted to buy all 5-6 figures in the line to get the big figure. Marvel legends I felt was smart to do this because you can make 100 different versions of Iron man,Spiderman and Wolverine, and most of us will pass on this or that version because we all have a good version of him, but if it comes with a baf piece we'll buy it so we have a complete galactus or sentinel. I seen pics a while back of Black Goliath, and Frost Giant, and they would be ideal ones to do it for. what do you guys think? For the collectors who don't open and leave it MOC are you willing to adapt a package retooling to add a BAF or don't mess with it? and for the collectors *me included, who open them would you like to get more plastic for your $$

I personally don't see BAF in the future of the MU line. Just look at how well Galactus has done, as well as the Bucky Cap/Skrull Giant Man figure did. It's safer for Hasbro in the long run to release these waves as individual figures with the occasional large piece. I see them adding more to their large line (Galactus,Sentinel etc) in the coming years as they have obviously seen that there is a market for them. Hopefully they'll knock a few bucks off the top of those, but what're ya gonna do.

for this one, maybe it will be good they just release like gigantic pack or master work series. if they put part of BAF in this Mu line, i think it will not balance. Just hope they will continue this BAF thing in Marvel legend 2012.

What I'd like to see (but will probably never happen) is oversized Marvel Universe chase figures shipped with the Marvel Legends. Basically, if Hasbro makes any Marvel Legend figure that will work with Marvel Universe (like Stature or Ultimate Giant Man), then every couple of Marvel Legends cases they should slip in one on an oversized Marvel Universe style card, to make it clear that the figure is built for both lines and to give hardcore MU collectors something to staple to their wall.

That's a pretty cool idea.

I'd say "no" to build a figures in Marvel Universe, especially when the BAF parts would be almost as big or bigger than the figure themselves. You know Hasbro and the retailers would just use that as an excuse to charge double.

BAF parts would be a good way to get rid of all those peg warmers though

That's hard to say for certain. I'm not sure the evidence really supports that build-a-figures prevent pegwarmers. It could be that we end up with MORE pegwarmers because the price of the figures goes up.

No BAF in MU please. Don't want to have to pay any more than I already do for a 3.75" figure. The Gigantic Battles packs handle the larger size figures perfectly. And the giant Galactus and upcoming Sentinel are great, and MUCH larger than they could ever be for a BAF.

Let's not forget, Hasbro dumped the BAF and switched to the smaller scale because of rising plastic costs.
