The reason for this thread is simple as a MOD Treble had posted this in the Appreciation Thread ...

I don't mind seeing the pics here as well as in the Customs forum, but only if they are Marvel characters. If you have questions or want advice about customs, there is an entire forum for it.

There is also a thread specifically for new hauls and this isn't it.

In other words, try to stay on topic. This thread is meant to show your appreciation of Marvel 3.75" scale figures, not be a catch-all discussion thread.
So now this thread is here so we dont have to worry so much about going off topic about Marvel stuff when it comes to what we got today and what were making at home... This IS the catch all thread

I made this thread discussion to prevent the MU appreciation thread from gettimg close when someone tries to post something not related to appreciating Marvel Universe. That thread is so important to get shutdown, so bring your MU ramblings here but if you want to appreciate MU go to optimus vaders thread.

Hope that makes things simplier.

Ok this thread is all about Marvel Universe and Optimus Vader's specifically 3.75" . Thanks Mod Treble for clarifying and making things much simpler.

The thread has lasted about 6 months and gone way over 500 pages now, why is it only becoming a problem now, someone always brings the thread back on topic, so I literally don't see the problem.

marvel figures $5 a piece. Minimum of 4 figures or more shipped. So $20 shipped for 4 figures..$5 dollars per figure after that ***
****Groot and Rocket Racoon count as one figure****

I just bought Psylocke for $20 at my LCS... worth it IMO since I would probably never find it at retail. They had 3 left when I got there, I had to choose between one with perfect painted lines on her legs, but a kinda messed up face or one with a perfect face and one line that is kinda messed up on her leg... I went with the looker. LOL.

I'm so glad I don't have to worry about MU until Jubilee and any future Rogue that comes out. *phew*

It's not that bad IMO, I don't consider him a scalper shop... he orders cases and lets you buy singles. Trust me... if he sold them at $10-$12 the first person there would just buy them all (like what happened with some other figs). Trying to find MU here is death... we only got one TRU that never stocks and 2 Targets that occasionally stock and most of our Walmarts don't even carry MU anymore. And MU retails here for around $10 anyway (unless their is a sale or price cut or something).

That Psylocke wave is a bad one too... most people are going to buy just the Psylocke IMO; he gotta make back his money somehow if he wants to order more waves.

Most people bought that CP just for Dark Phoenix and tossed the Cyclops... so you were basically paying $20 for one fig (MU CPs are $18-ish here)... that's how I look at paying that much for Psylocke... I just pretended I bought a MU CP... thinking that way allows me to sleep at night. LOL.

That Cyclops kicks ass though! I found one with a perfect paint app and for no reason I can tell, his legs spread apart easily into any pose without popping off!
It's SUCH a great figure that instead of taking a Steve Rogers to make an astonishing Cyclops, I'm just swapping the lower legs on the comic pack version, painting the undies and gloves black and adding the yellow piping.

My Dark Phionex is in a drawer somewhere.

Odd how that works, right?

if your Dark Phoenix is in a drawer somewhere, send her to a good home - like mine in L.A. (thats code for "wanna sell her?" lol)

sucky thing about that Cyclops were the midget arms.

hmm..maybe I'll swap the arms too...

As to Phionex, she'll go with my "Holy shit we're dead!" lineup of impossible to beat villians photo shoot.
Dark Phionex, Thanos with Gauntlet, Doom with Cosmic Cube, Void Sentry, etc...

That's almost 100% mark up! My LCS has to charge $12.99 to make selling them worthwhile.

Maybe. Hopefully this first LCS wave are the variants, and the retails are going to be normals, so the LSC stuff will stay valuable. That's what happened around here with Metal Abby.

If the LCS is buying the fig through Diamond, they'll need to sell anything between $15-20 to make money.
That's why so many stores send people out o scapl the local area for stuff- anyone selling figs for $12 did not buy them through Diamond (where all the comics come from).

Diamond screws everyone.

Yah, my LCS got lucky all the Absorbing Mans he got were Metal versions... those are pretty much the only figs he sold from that wave. LOL. I know I bought one Iceman from him last month and by what's still left today... he also sold one Astonishing Wolvie too... that's it. LOL.

Oh, the Psylocke wave also came with Iron Patriot and the black Ronin too... never saw that Ronin before even though he came in a revision case once before.

Really? My LCS didn't have IP or Black Ronin. I wonder if they ordered it differently...

I just trade them for store credit, though that doesn't work anymore. MU just doesn't sell well in comic stores, ironically. They just need to sell them online.

What does Catch All mean? I've been wondering this since I saw it. And it's not off topic right because it's in the title?
