Tiberius, these sets are up to $38 on TRU.com... toss in shipping and it's about the same as what you're seeing.

I've seen one of these sets in person ($35), but it wasn't the variant and I couldn't justify the price considering I have almost all of those figures. The box is probably my favorite part about the set.

I pulled the trigger and ordered a set from TRU.com to see if I would get lucky with the variant set. No luck. I guess it might be possible that you'll receive a variant set, but I didn't. Returned it in-store.

Thought about doing the same. Thank you for sharing the results. I'm waiting now for my variant set, decent price, whom I bought from an 'Arker who all of a sudden hasn't returned my emails. I shall leave his name anonymous (for now.)

Got this set yesterday, love it. The Wolverine was surprising, that head sculpt(once you "fix" the ears) is actually pretty cool. Hate how Storm's cape hinders her arms though.

Did you get a shipping refund too? A while back I returned something there & they only gave me store credit.

Yeah I was thinking of customizing a cloth cape for her.

Wait how much are you guys finding these for? I think I saw a tag for $34.99 but it rang up for $37.99 iirc.

Its almost like they tried to make him appear shorter by elongating his neck and curving it down, so strange.

Xmo has given us an awesome tiger stripe from the tru giant size box! It is my favourite wolverine that ive owned. The xmo wolverine from the SS 2 pack is also quite awesome, best claws around and perfect stocky runt scale for james.
Don't like the soft plastic and paint apps on the face. Don't think the soft plastic takes paint well hence the paint masters on the box looking good but the final product sometimes looking like abominations and catastrophies. Prefer marvel universe style thigh swivels. New claws on Patch look good. Giant size 6 pack Wolverine is cool primarily because of the head sculpt. Also prefer bicep swivels over elbros

I've seen both of those prices ring up in my area. That means they'll all be up to $38 within a week.

..and since I can't decide on whether I want this set, I think I'll pick one of the $35 sets today before I lose 3 more dollars in my decision making process.

I'd say buy it ken. You could always return it if you changed your mind on wanting it.

About the refund on shipping, most companies will give you refund on shipping if you call and complain about not getting a refund on shipping. You could also tell them that they sent you the wrong item and that you aren't going to pay shipping on an incorrect item shipped and 99% of the time, you get your money back.

That happened at my TRU. Last week the set came in and was $34.99 but I couldn't pull the trigger on it so just left it. Today however they had Archangel, Sunfire, Warpath(varient) and Kitty Pryde on the pegs so I figured what the hell, may as well pick them all up. I got to the register and it rang up $37.99 but didn't realize it until after I checked out.

These markups SUCK. Ah well. Wanted this set, LOVED Cockrum's renditions of the Xmen especially the 70's team, and I didn't have most of the figures in the set.

My TRU is awful with marking stuff up a week later. The new ML 2 packs started out as $24.99, a week later were marked up to $29.99, then a week after that went up to $34.99. MU Galactus went up $5 a week after being put out on shelves as well.
