Of course, I completely understand those that would argue "Why release GR at all without his bike?" And to those people, I would say that's a damn fine question to ask at the next Marvel Q&A. [/QUOTE]

Thank You!!!

This mold was a disaster. But no lets just keep using it. Compare these midgets to some of the shorter characters from Marvel. Iceman 5.8 and Spiderman BW 5.10 they used the tallest standard size mold that towers any Iron man sculpt that by the way is a bit taller than the Wolverine.
I'm not saying the line's scale is perfect - far from it (not many lines ever get it completely right). I think Shin pointed out that the Hammer series seems to be paying more attention to scale at least for some of the characters. And of course, the DD mold is being retired so it won't be affecting the line much longer. Fingers crossed that the ones already released using that mold will get new versions released using better molds down the line.

I also agree that the Black Spidey mold makes him (and some others) too tall. But otherwise I like the mold, which is more than I can say for the DD mold.

This line is priced about the same as the ML line was when it came out. These figures are between 1/3rd and 1/4th the size of the ML line figures. ML included larger scale, larger packaging, larger bases (that in themselves ranged between 2 to 3 times the size of a MU figurer), a full sized comic, more accessories and more joints witch took more molds and time to assemble. From a marketing standpoint this line is brilliant, We can give them so much less and charge them about the same price. They save on reusing molds, they fit more product on pegs. It's a win win and in no way do they even consider giving us a bike with Ghost Rider.
Most of the price differences you see are due to the increased costs for materials and labor, as well as some degree of inflation. The Toy Biz ML's were first released eight years ago, and Hasbro has only had them for three years now. Even when Hasbro got it, the price point had already increased, we lost the comics, and a lot of the time the only accessories were just BAF parts.

Maybe the cool thing to do would have been to give us the "deluxe version"before releasing the single carded figure. But why not milk us twice.

So just who's budget is breaking here?
No one said you had to buy both. Hasbro (and most other toy manufacturers) never expects anyone to buy every figure in a given line. That's why there's so many different releases at different price points: they want to offer something for everyone. So we end up with stuff like IM2 pull-n-go toys that are rather silly to most IM collectors, but some kid will have a blast with it.

You're welcome. However, as good as the question might be, I doubt Hasbro or Marvel will answer it. GH isn't out yet and answering questions regarding future product is against their rules for the Q&A. I suppose we could ask after he's released, though.
