So I randomly came across these at Walmart(I rarely find new Marvel stuff). It was a good thing I did because soon after someone else quickly nabbed the other Punisher that was there. Mine had good paint apps on the skull and stuff.

Anyways these figures are improvements. This new Punisher destroys the old one. The old one is not even close. It would be cool if this one had a trench coat and assault rifle. More weapons would've been cool but he comes with a sufficient amount. This is the definitive MU Punisher at this point.

Now She Hulk, wow. Completely forgot she had double jointed elbows. Color me surprised. This makes her almost as articulate as the Marvel Legends version. Crazy. Head sculpt is good too.

Overall pretty impressed. I am cherry picking Marvel Universe now, not buying almost every figure like I was in 2008.

The Walmarts around me only have 2 pegs of Marvel Universe at most, for months they were not restocking at all, and I don't even think the toy departments know where the pegs were supposed to go during the resets as they have been shuffled all over the place. Target is FULL of Gladiators. If not him, then it's 1st Appearance Wolverine.

Luckily most of the figures in the Punisher wave are pretty much worth picking up. I saw 1 Kang last night but didn't buy it, mainly because I don't remember much about the character. Looked cool though. Surprised I didn't see FF Spiderman.

agreed. if you can grab the rest of the wave i'd recommend it including bag head spidey if possible. as far as MU is concerned, this wave is indicative of the baseline quality i expect from hasbro.

Thanks for the recommendations guys. Paper Bag Spidey, maybe, I think it's a neat variant and nice nod to fans.

RE: indicative quality- agreed.

Kurt Busiek & alan davis? did a run on the avengers series before disassembled happened where Kang literally took over the world and it wasn't an alternate world it was the real world. I've only read parts of it but it is worth checking out with more than a years worth of issues

That was an awesome run but unfortunately Davis did not stick around and finish it- the art was not bad exactly at the end, just not Alan Davis, y'know?

Kang is amazing in Avengers Forever and in Guardians of the Galaxy- saving the universe both times- 'cause how can you rule in the future of the past gets wiped out, right?

Avengers Forever totally retells his origin as well- fleshing im out as a character.

So is Avengers Forever and alternate reality?

Honestly the main reason I remember Kang is from Young Avengers before or during Civil War, and before that, something to do with Iron Man killing some Avengers then getting replaced by a teenage Tony Stark, this was back in the mid 90's when sales were going bad and before Heroes Reborn.

Good idea man. Actually that reminds me, I am surprised we haven't seen a Civil War era Punisher Cap. I bet it's coming though. The MU has thrown a lot of bones to fans.

Hey guys, found Scarlet Witch and FF Spiderman. Bought FF Spiderman, cool but right leg pops off too much, and his waist feels weak to swivel(it clicks, feels like it could snap).

Was going to buy Scarlett Witch but paint apps were bad, some joints had misaligned cuts. Lack of paint in sme areas, and overspray of red on the face, looked like misapplied lipstick. Eyes looked bath salts.

Wow congrats on finding the rest of wave 19, is it the same walmart? My area has been bone dry of any new MU wave 18 or 19.

I know call me crazy but I still prefer my Target exclusive 2 pack Punisher over wave 19 Punisher.

The Punishers I've seen all had (what I think is) dry brush from HELL! The coloring that goes into the creases to make say, muscles pop. Remember how bad Guardian was? How about the comic Power Man? Punisher had a blue "dusting" that was all over his white gloves and boots. If I knew a way to take that off I would have nabbed on. I don't like the character but the figure rocks and I'd fit him in somewhere.

I bought a bunch of the Punisher figures and retro-fitted all the past versions with the new head. This includes the two Wave 1 versions, the 2 pack version and even the old SHS line.

Thanks, yes, same Walmart, seems like they restock every Thursday.

Agreed, thankfully 1 of the 2 I saw had decent paint apps.

You say that now, watch you get back into it full swing:P I like both Punishers, but decided to stick with the old one only cause it had more accessories to it. The new one's card art def. lot better though.

Watch you kick yourself for passing on Kang when you can't find him

I am starting to somewhat get back into MU more because of the new waves. The fact that nearly all the new figures have thigh swivels and that the waves have characters I want is something that has reignited the appeal to me.

The Walmart in question is far away, I only go there every now and then, I am glad they restocked that day since most Walmarts here have not stocked Marvel Universe much in the past months.

Kang looked cool I admit but I can wait it out for now.

I totally agree with you there, I'm glad I started collecting almost 2 years now, and am caught up with all the past stuff that I really want.
