when you can buy a deluxe Transformer for $10 when they always seem to go on sale, this seems like highway robbery for a 3 3/4 figure

I thought they were priced too high when they first came out. This is just ridiculous. The funny thing of it is, they know us collectors will pay for it. Maybe they big companies are having a go with us to see how much we'd really pay for a tiny plastic figure that costs them probably 10 cents to make.

My Target has them for $7.99 on price cut. $14.99 comic packs
The other Target RAISED their price to $7.99 from $6.99. Target was(still is so far) the lowest price here. |

Absolutley ridiculous. Just a few years ago, I was paying $9.00 for 6" figures. Seems like highway robbery for 3 3/4" figures no matter how awesome they are.

I know it really sucks when they raise prices but you think that those prices are high, try living in Canada. The Canadian dollar is higher than the US dollar right now ( by one cent, lol) and has been in par for a while now, Before the price hikes our MU figures at Zellers are $12.99 or 9.99 at walmart, $18.99 for the 2 packs.
Transformers are: legends-6.99 scouts 9.99 -12.99 deluxes 15.99-19.99 voyagers 29.99 ultras 35.99 leader - 59.99- 69.99 MP transformers are 69- 79. That ugly ass Devastator was $99.99 - $125.99 what a rip off. I don't want to pay 14.99 for a MU single figure or 22.99 for a 2 pack...i don't want to pay 2 bucks more for my transformers either. I buy 90% of my figures from BBTS in the US, even with the shipping it's still cheaper than buying them up here most times...unless there is a sale or they're on clearance in Canada, plus the cost of the gas when driving store to store is ridiculous.

Yeah, I was thinking of just using BBTS now, they don't seem expensive if you buy the set or wave, but sometimes jack certain figures

I'm shocked, just totally shocked. You mean there are stores out there that have Marvel Universe figures for sell!
The local Wal-Mart hasn't stocked them in a very long time and most of the stores I've been to when I head off to the city only have a peg or two of the figures. It's almost like retailers are taking it out on the entire line because they were the ones to order way too many Iron Man 2 figures. Unless someone is ordering all their figures from BBTS then I don't see how anyone can manage to be a collector, unless you only want to collect Iron Man and Spiderman figures with horrible articulation. |

What they really need to do is lower them to $5 and unload all of the Iron Man/Spiderman figures that are collecting dust on the shelves.

I wish I could pay that for an MU figure. Americans have it lucky. The same freaking toy is $10.99 here regular retail price.

Personally, I've been using bbts anyway. So I've already been paying more for the luxury of not hunting. This gives me more reason to stay that way.

Screw that noise. I'm glad that I've decided to be as picky as I am with my MU purchases.

I'm trying to buy all of mine at my two local TRUs. They sell them there for $7.49, which is the lowest I've seen in my area. The worst is Walmart, where they are almost $9 or $10.

Strange, the only TF price increase I've seen around here is 11.99 for deluxes at both Walmart and Target. Scouts were already back up to 8.99 by New Years and I think Legends are about $6.99.
MU, on the other hand, has indeed gone up at my local Target to what Destro reported. So much for filling in some holes in my collection. I think I'm going to drop it for a while and maybe only pick up one or two specific characters from now on. What did Hasbro do? Target's the one who jacked up the price on the pegs, not Hasbro.
