With the relaunch of Marvel Legends and the buzz growing for new lines and what's around the corner, lets take some time and look where we've come from. Part of Marvel Legends success and overall driving sales were partly based on the addition of the (baf) build a figure piece. Almost every figure in a wave would come with an additional piece to assemble in most cases a larger figure. We've been given quite a few great ones already:

- Galactus
- Sentinel
- Apocalypse
- Onslaught
- Giant Man
- Mojo
- Modok
-Annihuls
- Blob
- Ronan
- Brood Queen
- Fin Fang Foom
- Red Hulk
- Ares
- Nemisis
and now the newest wave - Terrax

So I ask you fellow arkers, which of these are your favorites, least favorites, holy grail items, trying to sell/buy/trade pieces is also ok in this thread as long as it's baf related.

I own mojo, sentinel, galactus, and did own Apocalypse at 1 point but decided to trade him with a fellow arker. I'm waiting on the arrival of Modok within the next week or more, which I can't wait to get/ Galactus means the most, mainly because I pieced him together myself and found parts through arkers and ebay. Sentinel and Modok and Apocalpse I purchased from a local collector, so they were already pre assembled. I'm going to try and build Giant man and Fin Fang Foom next, aquiring a few pieces from Tiberious and Metal Viking, but ebay/toyark community will hopefully find me the misisng links. So I encourage 1 and all to add and take away something from this thread.

I'm a huge fan of Marvel Legends and have all of the build a figures off this list minus Terrax, haven't seen the new figures at retail yet. My favorite 2 are Giant Man and Sentinel, with the Sentinel being my absolute favorite. Overall I like the Toybiz BAF better because the quality is better especially the paint. I do like Red Hulk and Ares from hasbro but had issues with Nemesis pieces breaking and Brood leg pieces not connecting.

What was wrong with it... I am expecting one from a trade. I know his head aticulation is kinda bad, but I think I could fix that.

I don't have any, but going from pictures I've seen, the only thing stopping my from getting a BAF MODOK is because I'm pretty sure we'll see him in an MU GB set (I hope).

Worst would be Apoc with those chicken legs he comes with. He sucks.

My favorite one so far is Fin Fang Foom.

But of the ones I actually own, I would say the Sentinel is my favorite.

I really like onslaught but my favorite is apocalypse. My only cripe with him is being able to stand. My roommate has a sentinel which I like as well. I only own two. I'd love to get modok, juggernaut, and mojo. Most of the BAF are great figures.

Apoclypse had those chicken drumsticks though- took down his toughness to have the X-Men making clucking noises as they fought him.

yes the head is non articulated and he looks like hes always looking down.

the skin paint doesn't match for example the shoulders do not match his torso very bland paint.

I wish they gave him an axe instead of a giant ridiculous sword and a tiny sword.

other than that its ok.

to sum up your response, the headsculpt articulation, paint and accessories suck but aside from that it's worth the $90 sticker price lol, good review jk. I'm on the fence about Ares, I'd own him if I snagged him cheap enough. But not that spectacular 2 me, plus I'm not trying to collect all ML just some.

I'd like any BAF figure I could put together for less than $20, so I guess I don't like any of them. Its funny that right when the DCUC line is dying off a Marvel Legends line is released. Very clever.

Mojo is too darn big for MU though - scalewise you're better off useing the Toybiz version *still very nice).

Modok is the absolute shit to go with AIM guys- a great classic Marvel Villian that looks epic next to all the other MU

I got Modok shipped for $30, Mojo usually is the cheapest baf available often under $20., the bigger guys like Apocalypse and Galactus are around $60-80 range, but shipping adds up, Ronin,Ares,Red Hulk and sentinel all around $100 range, Fin Fang Foom and giantman are in the $125-200 range. The rest are misc, but I have seen a sentinel go for under $50 once.
