I hope not. The one I bought on ebay this week has the gold shield.

These are all I've seen so far. If anyone sees the elbows to the center version with a black SHIELD seal, that would be the last version.

Hasbro just loves to make these little variants. Yet again, I think it was established that this is a running change.

More bad news:

It would seem that Hasbro has been updating the shield logo on the first wave of 2011 behind the scenes in revision packs. Keep an eye out for gold shield Extremis Iron Man, Spider-Woman, and Spider-Man 2099. (Though I'm not sure any of those have been in revision packs yet...)

I don't think it's the whole wave. Only Spider-Woman, WW Hulk, Doc Samson and Capt. Marvel are in revision cases. I'm a MOC collector (turned completionist) but I really don't see why people care about this. It's not a "real" variant and doesn't affect anyone but us who choose to "collect them all"

Yea, it's frustrating for us though.

I think it's been stated before, but it's just a running change, and not an actual variant. Hasbro identified an error in their product and decided to make some changes to the line, that's all.

While I don't love owning 3 Doc Samsons (which all have 'Sampson' on the name plate), I do love knowing they exist and hunting them all down.

Oh, and my Family Dollars don't have the new colored versions of Thor and Cap:

According to BBTS wave 17's Ironfist will have a variant. I quote
"This case is to include the following figures:

2x Patriot
2x Thunder Age Thor
2x Shadowland Daredevil
2x Iron Fist - If/when this figure ships with a variant, it will likely ship randomly - sorry, no choice.
2x Psylocke
2x Storm "

DAMN IT!!!!! It better be worth it.

Yea, haven't we caught all the Iron Fist outfits already? How about an X-Force Psylocke variant instead?

Agreed with X-Force Psylocke! Would look great with my other 3 X-Force figures...

Maybe the Variant is him in another pose? The Kung-Fu is a bit over the top IMO.

I don't think Hasbro can be knocked for this..they made a minor change to the package..probably as simple as "X warehouse has 100 vats of yellow paint for 50% off..can we use it somewhere on our packaging?"

Unfortunately some people have decided that having both means something in their collection. I think someone else is "fuct" here. Haha.

Think about it..people are bitching at Hasbro..then running all over town trying to give Hasbro their money for nothing.in essence..paying Hasbro for what they see as a slap in the face. LoL .. people are so strange. :-)

I agree, these aren't true variants, in my opinion, it just seems like Hasbro changed the Shield logo/whatever just because, not to make everyone race out to find these exact same figures. It's the fault of the collector for being OCD. Not Hasbro's fault.

They could simply be referencing the exisiting Iron Fist single-pack variant, or possibly a future single-pack release of the comic pack version.

I'd go one step further and say that they probably weren't even thinking about that when the decision was made to change the logo's color. It may have simply been a design choice, or even an edict from Marvel for all we know.

These are designed for kids, after all. I doubt that most kids even care what the packaging looks like and are more interested in the figure itself. Well, unless those kids are 2nd or 3rd gen. collectors, I suppose.

Exactly, I imagine someone at Hasbro looking at everyone on here freaking out about finding another Captain Marvel with his head turned a little to the left and thinking "Fuck, look what we started"

So I've finally gotten the MU completest monkey of my back! I passed on both Doc Samson and Captain Marvell with opposite facing cards yesterday. I've also repeatedly passed on the purple colored Sentinel on BBTS (seeing as how I already have the SDCC one and two of the blue/silver ones). I still get the shakes every now and then, but my wallet has actually thanked me and told me I'm a good looking man for the first time in three years.

Up until now I've gotten every single variant of every single MU fig, but Samson and Marvell pushed me over the edge. I still plan on collecting MU but I now refuse to be raped by Hasbro every time their production people make a mistake or someone on their marketing team decides that kids will love an Iron Spiderman thats semi-translucent.

Hahahaha don't you love it when your wallet talks to you? Mine reminds me of my wife when I tell/show her a new variant - extremely quiet. I've been wrestling with whether or not to hang my completist monkey. After the reversed packaging, gold/black shields, and solid/translucent crap I'm beginning to wonder if its worth it. I have a pretty substantial MU collection and will still collect it but, I'm not sure about ALL the variants. I guess only time and medication will cure my OCD.

I finally got all 3 Samson's and now still need the FIRST Captain marvel. I've bought like 2 or 3 off of ebay and they all sent me revisions even though they were not what was pictured nor were they stock photos.
