I liked it. A lot of people still hate it. Thoughts?

A lot of people were going to hate it no matter what, because that's where the internet hyperbole has led them.

Now they did give us the "F-You, Creepy Kid Ghost Thing, I'm not playing your game!" ending that some people felt was more appropriate for "their" Shepard, but people are going to be angry that it's the "bad" ending...as if they should expect something different when you get to the end of the game and then refuse to actually use the superweapon you've spent the entire game building.

Basically, because Bioware stuck to their guns and didn't flat-out change the endings wholesale, some people are still going to be upset.

This pretty much sums it up for me. I downloaded the DLC but haven't played it yet. I keep my saves but I think my last save before the Cerberus attack is WAY before the attack. Might not replay it. I love the game.

Wish I could download the EC DLC, but I've seen the endings on YouTube and it's an improvement over what they gave us the first time. Some things make a lot more sense... like how/why the Normandy left, and the mass relays *not* blowing up, but the rings just kinda falling off after the discharge, (which in turn doesn't destroy the ME world). Nice little moment with the LI before Sheppy goes into the beam.

Now we get to look forward to Omega DLC, and the next Mass Effect game, which they said *is* going to happen. YAY!

Overall, there's still some things I didn't like about the ending, but the EC satisfies me. At least, I don't have that "WTF just happened?" feeling of getting crapped on, like when I played it the first time. I may not have the EC dlc, but at least I know what the heck happened.
