I knew someone would pay it.. this old saying exists for a reason;

Some people have more money than sense.

or

A fool and his money are soon parted.

Is this still sell?? I do pay for two thousand!

Was that the opening line in your message from the buyer? Because you may have a small problem if so..

Congrats on the kids either way, but name calling to people who for the most part were really trying to help, isn't ideal. Good luck on growing up a bit as you'll truly need that to raise kids. Still wish you the best any way.
Signed, Tightwad

I'd say it's perfectly worth that. The shear amount of figures (plus a bunch of con exc.), and the fact they are all MOC is totally worth it.

Eh..maybe to a couple people..but its more about the DB having to run here with the "I told you tightwads!!" attitude when nobody really cares and when nobody really gave him grief in the 1st place. Hope he grows up ...quick.

I'm glad he sold it, and that he didn't have to come too far down on the price. We shouldn't have discouraged him from asking for what his collection was worth. $1700 is extremely reasonable for all of that. I feel bad for saying he probably wouldn't get it.

We deserved his comment and then some. Good for him for coming back in here with that.

I did the math and if you had everything in the MU line (including all variants and exclusives) and you paid retail for everything ($8 for singles, $15 for comic packs), you'd have spent a little more than $2000. And that doesn't include anything from the various movie sublines.

So I think he would have been able to get more had he broken up stuff into lots and sold the really rare stuff on its own.

At least I have a ballpark of what my collection would have been worth on the market. (Maybe a couple hundred more with the tie-ins.)

$1700? so not worth it. thats not even a months worth of bills.

COLLECT ON!
