Yeah, they do look sweet. I'm just disappointed that they decided to exclude original aspects. I mean damn, a leech that doesn't stick, a Kobra Khan that doesn't spit, battle damage He-Man & Skeletor you can't actually damage. Soon to be Mekaneck that doesn't neck. If Ram Man & Mantenna ever get made, well. One wont ram & the other won't antenna lol.

Well Mecha neck will get interchangable necks. Some aspects I can understand because they are aimed for collectors, not kids. The Leech thing is easy enough, I can understand why they didn't add a watergun though lol.

I guess I assumed before I started collecting them. That by being billed as MOTU Classics. They would be the same as the classics, just updated. I mean, it's kinda like taking a classic car, adding all modern parts and still calling it a classic. I'd call these retro mods, not classics lmao

I started collecting them just because they are cool lol. If I wanted a toy to squirt water I would buy the original. That's just me though =3.

Uh no, just no. If I wanted those features, I would buy the old toys. I don't like gimmicky features, never have, especially as an adult.

Well, you can still lick him, but who knows if he'll stick

..I feel your pain, but Leech is still a solid figure. If anything,.. he's the most balanced MOTUC figure with those giant disc feet of his.

Speaking of solid figures, Mattycollector's having their SDCC sale starting next Monday, July 2. One of the figures being offered is Vikor. So if you missed out on figs like Vikor, Gygor, or want the Wind Raider, now's your chance!!

I'm guessing we'll have to wait till either years end or next year for Ram Man, Rio Blast, Flying Fists He Man, Terror Claws Skeletor, Laser Power He Man and Skeletor, New Adventures He Man/ Skeletor, He Man (Dolph Lundren) and Live Action Skeletor, 2002 Skeletor (of course, they should do a variant of He Man and Skeletor once or twice a year)

Haven't posted in this thread yet. Here is my humble MOTUC collection. No too big. But I'm sure I'll be adding more as time roles

Don't forget Matty has their SDCC sale going today thru the 31st. Snagged me a Wind Raider, Gygor, Bubble Power She-Ra, & Vikor. They also have their "essentials" on sale for 10% off.

Nice. You'll like that Wind Raider. I'm half tempted to get another one. I may pick up Gygor before this sale is over with. Very tempted to bite on the Ghostbusters PKE Meter.

Yeah the PKE is sweet. I'm just doing my best to try sticking to certain lines. I'm always all over the place and it makes completing lines a real pain in the balls & wallet. I almost sprung for Mo-Larr, Sy Klone, & Demo Man too. But I couldn't bring myself to splurge that hard.

Heard that. Demo Man is a great figure. If you can afford him before this sale is over I'd recommend him.

I got to limit myself to one order a month with Matty or I would be poor as poop.

I've stuck pretty close to the original characters, but a couple of new figs I couldn't resist were Demo Man and Draego Man. Both solid figures... maybe it's the extreme colors on them, but they really add a lot to your MOTUC setups.

It's tough when you're playing catch up and trying to take in the new figures at the same time. I did that a couple of years ago. I'd look forward to months where I didn't care about the monthly figure.

I think you nailed it. Their bright colors definitely add a lot of character to them and they fit in very well with the vintage guys. I think that is one reason why I was never too crazy about the 200X stuff, especially the figures that made it into the Classics line. Their colors are generally a little more muted.

Thanks. Soon enough? Nah lol, still a waaaaays to go. I have some more OG MOTU stuff, Battle Trax, Stridor, Wind Raider, etc. Just all pretty beat up from heavy play as a kid. Not worthy of display, but too sentimental to trash lol

Ok so i have decided i will start picking these up. What should be my first pickup? Do i go with a classic like He-Man or try for harder to find items before they are gone? i had a ton of these as a kid and idk they just look cool!

Merman from the 2 pack will be my first. I need the head from Aquaman for a custom anyway.....but not counting him who should be my legit first purchase
