$150 for what? Each figure in the retro line is retailed at $16.99 maybe $18.99 max and thats for pre-order. So even rounding up to $20 a piece where's the other $70 in value come from.? F~cking ridiculous!

They must have seen Hasbro charging $140 for three $35 Cobra Vipers and figured that they could do them one better.

Hahaha, Hasnewlow has always followed Mattel but lately it seems the are leading the charge in over pricing and under delivering.

Is it just me or does the 2002 He-man look nothing like he looked in animated or toy form?
I guess the Power Sword looks right.

I love em, but dang that price. Is the box and vac metal really that expensive? I do hope they release all of these at retail and that this isn't the only way to get them.

That's kind of the whole point of Origins, though: reviving the aesthetics of the original MOTU figures, and now, adapting other iterations of the brand into that same format. Personally, I think they've done so pretty successfully with 200X He-Man here (looking at the figure in-hand I can see that they even gave him newly-tooled trunks with the little utility pouch that was so distinctive of the 200X design, albeit moved around to the back to avoid interfering with the hip articulation).

Yeah, I think the vac-metal accessories and the packaging are going to be the only things that set these guys apart from the eventual retail versions.

Holy f**k, that is absolutely ridiculous. I'm a MOTU homer and I would love to have this, but there is no way I'm paying $150 for this set.

I'm not arguing but at least I knew who it was supposed to be at first sight.

I just think they should have done more to differentiate him with the He-man from the 80's -particularly seeing him right next to He-man from the 80's.

I dont always make the most sound choices when it comes to my $ and figure collecting but day-um. Mattel clearly trying to see what they can get away with and sadly people are probably just going to go along with it.

And what would that be, exactly? He's got the hair, the harness, the axe, sword and belt. There's not really much else you can do without departing from the Origins aesthetic.

I don't think they got the hair or the face correct.

I agree. It looks nothing like the Young animation model or the 4H figure. Nor does NA He-Man. Yet, they took great care to make 'Flix-Man and 'Mation-Man resemble the animation models. But don't worry about that. Just shell out 150 bucks for some vac metal weapons. What a crappy set.

Clearly the price is a big turn off for people, or Mattel overestimated demand, because this set is still available to order nearly 7 hours after it went up this morning.
