I have an Eternia sub, and this month I should be getting billed only Netossa for $25. But when I got my recent order Email, their charging me $25 for the figure, $10 for shipping, and $5 for tax, WTF. Has this happend to anyone else?
Digital River really has to go Mattel, it seems like every other month there is some type of billing issue, class action lawsuit anyone? |

I did not get hit with $5 tax but I'm in MA which is 7% I think. Used to be 5%. Here is how mine broke down:
Shipping: $9.90 Tax: $1.56 Total: $36.46 Kinda sucks for a figure I probably will not open.

When I got my invoice they got the total off by 30 bucks. Kinda funny.

The state sales tax us 6.25% but I think the cities and towens have the option of adding the .75%. I cant imagine they would add that to internet orders though

They **should** add tax appropriate for the shipping address.
I had a Club Infinite Earths sub last year. They were charging tax on shipping, which I'm pretty sure shouldn't be done.

Actually it depends. If the charge is for shipping alone, then you're right - they cannot legally charge tax on shipping in the US. If, however, it's listed as "Shipping & Handling" or "Shipping & Processing", then they can and will charge tax on the whole fee. And most likely when you ask them why, they will say that the services are charged in a bundle and there is no way for them to separate it out.
Regardless, $5 in taxes for a $25 item seems just a tad steep no matter what state you're living in. That's 20% of the item cost! What was your S&H charge? Maybe that might explain the obnoxious tax rate.
