It is amazing, for sure. Fortunately, it's not the era of wrestling I collect and I wouldn't have the room for it anyway.
I can't believe the amount of complaining Ive seen already...or maybe I can lol. Also needs more cruiserwieghts, that and NWO shenanigans are what I associate this era of WCW with primarily. |

I've been wanting an old-school Big Poppa Pump figure for ages, but not the version with the white singlet. I was wanting more of an NWO-era Steiner with the black shorts, but let's see how the in-hand figure looks (provided he's actually unlocked).
BTW, is Scotty copping a feel on his own ass? What the hell. ![]() |

Surprised they didn't go with Hollywood Hogan for this. Or swap out Warrior for Sting.
Cool seeing DDP though. He was one of my favorite wrestlers growing up. |

Hollywood is another logical choice...maybe he'll be revealed later. I know an Ultimate Edition Hollywood Hogan came out not too long ago but then again this slimmed down yellow Hogan isnt too far off from the one that came out last year so I dont know. |

Excited but such a steep price. Its huge with lights, but ouch 400.
All figs make this around 300 if unlocked. |

Kinda feel the lights are needed at all, and the price would be much more reasonable.

I admit that I’m not the audience for this, but this seems far less equitable than was Hasbro’s Engine of Vengeance and the Rancor. Where are all the fiscal hawks and toy-finance advisors? Surely, Mattel doesn’t deserve a pass.
Interesting that the inclusion of figures makes the crowd fund "worth it" this time around. Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 03-28-2023 at 10:34 AM.. |

The rest of the set, imo, is nothing special to be honest. Tho, that DDP does look really good. |

The Scott Steiner in the set is pretty much the main reason for the appeal. It's his first Mattel figure, the Steiner Bros have been on lots of people's want list for years and up until recently, when they were inducted into the HOF, he was pretty much considered unlikely to ever get a figure.
The rest of the set, imo, is nothing special to be honest. Tho, that DDP does look really good. I find it kind of absurd that people see value here to the tune of $400. Especially after the pillorying the recent Haslab received, but, obviously, I’m still a bit salty after not receiving Mephisto. For what it’s worth, enjoy the stage and figs wrasslin’ fans. |

I did the New Generation ring and entrance, and while it struggled to get all tiers unlocked prior to the finish line I never felt the price of $250 was bad.
I was an early backer so I got all 3 figs: Macho-Man, Doink, and Diesel. They all currently sell for $80-$100 each. So the value was always right with the last offering. Now this time around you will get a much more detailed entrance, potentially 5 figures (But fans are only excited about 2 of them). I think even if they included a WCW Nitro Ring the price would still seem a little too much... The value of this offering is only close if all figures are included and since only 8,500 fans were willing to shell out $250, I don't think there will be more people signing up for this one. If all 5 figures were as strong as Scott and DDP I think there would be slightly more interest, but fatigue is certainly setting in for Hulk, Warrior, and Mysterio... I would feel taken advantage of if I backed this after 4/7 and only 5,000 people back it. You would end up only getting Rey and the entrance for $400!
