Yea apparently the second time it went up was a glitch and they didn’t have stock to fulfill those orders. That’s what the lost I saw on Facebook makes it look like anyways. I knew this was going to be another cluster.

Oh…wow….I just saw on a Facebook masters group that every order from the second sale looks to be getting a cancellation notice with a $10 off voucher for something on the creations site.

I was wrong…..something can be worse than mattycollector….way more worse.

With that voucher, I would think mattel has no intention of a second run.

True. When I got that email that was my thought. I replied asking if they thought one of the thousands of scalpers on eBay would honour their worthless fucking voucher.

Does anyone know why Mattel are selling these figs like this? Thankfully I’m a Masterverse collector, so don’t have to deal with this crap…yet at least, but I just can’t see the logic, there is obviously a high demand for these figures, why don’t they just sell them normally, they’d make more money and customers would actually be able to get the figs they want

They'd rather sell through than have lingering stock. The casual MOTU fan has no idea who Wun-Dar is, so making him a regular release would be as popular as fleshy Stratos. That gets into a big problem with MOTU, it lives and dies too much by a handful of characters.

I got the cancellation notice. Someone pointed out they even misspelled "cancellation" in the email.

Yeah I can understand that, but you’d think they would make at least a few more, I’ve read a lot of unhappy comments on here over the last few days from folk who missed out, when something sells out in less than two minutes then that indicates they need to make more surely.

Not disagreeing with that, I'm disappointed I will not be getting one, but not surprised. Past preorders were a fiasco. Exclusives like this sour collecting for a lot of people. I'm in the "I'd rather quit than pay scalpers" category myself.

I have to admit that I’ve been weak and paid scalper prices before, not something I really want to do again. I can absolutely see why it would sour it for collectors, it just seems like they are making it hard for people to complete collections, pissing off customers isn’t the best business model, plus it’s a relatively short window on announcement to going live, not everyone has disposable income at the drop of a hat, especially these days.

I never got past the captcha. It kept asking me over and over. Every time I clicked check out, it just took me back to the captcha page until I eventually got a sold out message in my cart. I was so pissed.

I posted about it on FB, and I guess a lot of people had the same issue. Crap website.

There's Origins He-Man figures still shelfwarming and on clearance that could be repainted into Wun Dars if all else fails.

I actually did that a couple of months ago before we knew an official one was coming. Super simple to do if you have the black chest piece.
