The toy head is great. But not on that body. The “Dolph” head, and I use that term loosely, is not Dolph. It’s so bad it’s got to be a joke. I’m hoping it’s better in person, but wow. Someone posted in another thread that they were sure customizers would get on this, man I hope. I wonder if the super7 head could fit this? He came with 2 heads so maybe one will work.

But in the end, I’m very excited for these, not only is it a amazing to think of more characters coming from the film, but also those that missed the now ridiculously expensive super7 releases can get a piece of the film as well.

Edit…..

Would love these in origins!

It'll definitely be a great instance of Mattel finishing up some decades old unfinished business if these guys ever show up in Origins.

That freaking He-Man "classic" head is damn near perfect. Should have been used on the 40th set. Pisses me off.

I'll get both and hope for better bodies down the road and a 3d printed head for a movie Dolph He-Man.

I'm assuming the Dolph head is bad because they didn't want to pay for his likeness.

Given the price of getting the Super7 ones, I'll take it for $23.99.

Movie Skeletor looks great, though.

Eeww the super 7 ones are terrible in person. Lucky I pased on the them. Though would have been a great flip. They are good for classic collectors and would have been amazing for the child I was. But they are so bad looking for now. I know they were made for nostalgia but the Masters Movie figures are not the same as classic MOTUS.

I don't know about terrible but, I did pass on those two and only got Karg and Golden God Skeletor from that wave. GG might be my favorite Classics figure that I own....he radiates spectacle & presence on my shelf. But, yeah, there was something about the other 2 that didnt do it for me. But happy they (and these) exist even though no plans to buy them.

I’m sorry, but I can’t let that one go. Among classics fans, they are held up as some of the best. Other than outdated articulation, these are the gold standard.

Looks like they are making Origins versions of these guys too. Good. But for the love of god, just give he-man the vintage head with some semblance of a Dolph mullet. There's no need to create anything from scratch here...no more monkey-faced he-mans please.

Let what go? Its my opinion. I'm an "artist" and hate poorly sculpted stuff. If you like it, awesome. I like a lot of cool shit others think is a waste of money. So my opinion matters to me. I'm NO ONE to you. You think I read online that If someone hates something I like I chuck that shit in the trash..NOPE! Like what you like. I do. This is a forum full of opinions and in the long run anything posted on the forum means nothing. Those Movie MOTUs looked like trash to me so I didn't buy them. Did I make a mistake. Hell yeah! I coulda flipped those easy. It wouldn't be something for myself.

Perhaps my comment came off wrong. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. For me, next to the sculpts of the 4 horsemen, these look Stevie Wonder designed them. I would have expected so much more from mattel for these being they first time they finally have a chance to make them. For myself and quite a few out there, we are excited to have masterverse, which keeps the scale alive, but at this point it’s the lesser son.

Oh I agree these new Mastervese aren't good either.. but the armor is there..mostly. I have an idea of how to use other figures to replace the body and 3d sculpt for the faces/head. Its the softer plastics that are hard to replace/make and feel legitimate.

My hopes is that Neca gets thier chance to do the movie figures themselves. Or even to a lesser point Mcfarlane.

I dream of Neca doing these. I would expect them to be on the level of the TMNT film figures, which in my opinion are some of the best looking toys ever made.
