I still don't understand the difference between the universes these are supposed to come from. You have Origins, which is self apparent, but then Masterverse has both classic and show characters? Since I have never seen the new show, I have no idea who is from that show and who is some obscure character from MotU mythos. Not sure who the woman with the abs is, for instance.
That said, I love seeing Roboto in that blurry image. I've always had a thing for that guy!

I'll try explain. Masterverse consists of multiple sublines from many different iterations of MotU. It's been primarily focused on Revelation but gradually branched out to other the other sublines too.
Revelation - The non-CGI Netflix show that's a spiritual sequel to much of the events in Filmation with a more mature tone and some differences in details and character origins. New Eternia - New versions of characters heavily inspired by the original concept art that predate the very first released MotU toys. Princess of Power - 80s She-Ra, Hordak, Catra etc. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2021 Netflix CGI) - the much more sci-fi show aimed at young kids which does have it's own simpler toyline but the Masterverse Skeletor and He-Man based on those versions are much higher quality and better articulated figures compared to the kids toys. Sun-Man - Former 'bootleg' toys now officially incorporated by Mattel into the MotU multiverse, first in Origins now in Masterverse. 40th Anniversary - The original He-Man and Skeletor characters but as Masterverse figures. The New Adventures of He-Man - Late 80s cartoon that was a sort of sequel to the Filmation show like Revelation is but very different take and again more sci-fi heavy. (Apologies if I've missed out any. I'm not feeling well today lol) Rumoured that 200X and Netflix She-Ra show from a couple years ago will probably be added as sublines too. The boxes make it clear which iteration the figure is from with Masterverse logo at the top of the box and the iteration's logo towards the bottom. In this Masterverse wave 4 photo you can see the top two are Mer-Man and Teela from Revelation while the bottom too are (Viking) He-Man and (Barbarian) Skeletor from New Eternia. Origins kinda does multiverse too but a lil more vague in some cases as it's had Sun-Man recently and 200X He-Man and Skeletor in one of the newest waves, that 4 He-Man box set that was shown at SDCC that has New Adventures and Netflix CGI added too, and also Revelation King Grayskull has been shown in Origins figure form sat on top of the New Eternia playset. 'lady with abs' is Evil-Lyn in her God-Lyn form from the Revelation cartoon after she seduced Skeletor, while she was still the Bat-Lyn sorceress (figure shown above in blurry shots with Roboto) and stole the power of Grayskull from him (after he'd already stolen it from Adam and the Sorceress). The power of Grayskull gives everyone abs and I'm totally ok with that. lol. She so far has three figures in Masterverse and they're all from different points of her story arc in Revelation. If they add a 'classic costume Lyn from episode 1 and 'Liberated Lyn' from end of episode 10 then they'll have all 5 of her major costumes from the show. lol. The Roboto figure you see there is from the Revelation show too. He's a creation of Man-At-Arms (as in the original mini-comics, as opposed to the alien robot in Filmation show) and he forges the two halves of the separate Power Sword back into one whole sword again, which is why he comes with those two heated up looking blades to represent the forging of the sword. He's still missing the poncho he wears during some of his journey though. lol. I'm sure someone will make custom ones like they make capes. lol Did I help to explain Masterverse a bit more? Or did I make it seem more complicated because I'm bloody useless at explaining things even though I asked my best mate to help a bit too. lol Last edited by EternianJerkian; 07-24-2022 at 09:57 AM.. |

Somewhat clearer pic of Revelation Roboto, Revelation Bat-Lyn/SkeleSorceress and Princess of Power Shadow Weaver (with her sleeves which seem to be her cloak draped over, bit weird but ok. And she looks a bit drunk lol). Also confirms Roboto has a moving mouth as tradition and also the transparent torso so you see his inner bits. Looks ace! lol he even looks cool wielding the power sword halves as if they're his own weapons. He and both new Lyns are right up top of my buy list.

And I am not sure what "liberated" means in this sense. i know what the word means, but I have a feeling it means something else in this case. I do hope for a more updated classic look figure in the future. And people can call me what they want, but I don't find abs on women attractive at all. Thats just my personal taste and my general attraction to women in general. Thanks for the story on Roboto. Like I said, I've always had a thing for Roboto's cool robot look, ever since I was a kid with the original toys. I do hope he does not come with a poncho...as Mattel will just bring it out in a deluxe package and make it more expensive, which I hate. That's what they did with Tri-Klops(one of my favorites). I was disappointed they never brought out a regular release for him that didn't cost $30+ dollars.

As for 'Liberated Lyn' I'll explain that at the end of these costume model sheets from Powerhouse that might help clear up some things: Classic - from episode 1. Largely traditional with some updating. No action figure so far. Modern (Darksword just refers to the fact she's got the dark half of the Power Sword on her belt there) - Post timeskip. Been about 5 years since the events of Episode 1. Her first figure in Masterverse is based on this look and includes an alternate helmet-less head because she goes without the helmet during some parts of that journey. SkeleSorceress (or Bat-Lyn as we like to call her) - Skeletor has the Power of Grayskull and changes Lyn into the new Sorceress of Grayskull. With a bat theme instead of the usual Sorceress' falcon theme. Regular class action figure revealed at SDCC reveal panel. God-Lyn (or Dark-Lyn as some call her for some reason) - Lyn takes the Power of Grayskull for herself. Ignore the bright green cloak. That's like green-screen thing for when the animators put in the cosmic universe effect in post-production. Deluxe class action figure revealed at SDCC Masterverse display. Liberated Lyn - After her fight with Sorceress Teela and realising the error of her ways, Lyn gives up the magic and walks off to a new life. No action figure so far. Quote:

from https://www.instagram.com/p/Cf4y4_KPrLZ/ But aye it looks like Roboto will be a standard release so that should suit you I hope. I'm still not sure why he seems to be lacking the hammer to forge the swords though. But damnit many of us want his poncho too. lol. As for Tri-Klops aye maybe there will be a New Eternia one that is more to your liking. So far all of the New Eternia figures include alternate parts that can make the figure look more or less 'classic' and they've all been regular non-Deluxe priced so far except for New Eternia Beast Man as he's a bigger figure and has a lot of extra armour and bits. So aye, a New Eternia Tri-Klops would likely be a concept art look, but include enough extras to make him look more traditional but still be a normal-priced figure like 'Barbarian' Skeletor, 'Viking' He-Man and the new Zodac figure are. Blimey that was another lengthy post. Sorry. lol. I hope it again helps explain some things. This time my kid helped me with sorting the images before he went to bed. He has a folder on this computer with all those character model sheets and they're also in his hardback book I got him for his birthday, 'The Art of MotU Revelation' which is pretty ace too. Aye, anyways goodnight! Last edited by EternianJerkian; 07-24-2022 at 03:28 PM.. |

Once again, another informative post, EternianJerkian! No need to apologize for the lengthy posts. Like I said, I wholeheartedly appreciate the sharing of the knowledge you have.
The time skips you mention and the different times during the cartoon as shown through that display of figures just confuses me, to be honest. I thought these episodes were like 10 minutes long and they made like 5. They were able to fit in a good story in that short time? And with so many different looks throughout? One question about "Bat-Lyn"...is she really wearing shorts or is that a dress/skirt? Because if that is a dress or skirt, the figure looks really off as the whole bottom part of her dress is just painted on her leg joints...which stinks, imo. lol It would seem your family means a lot to you. I am sorry to hear about the circumstances you have to live in right now, but I truly hope you guys find a place of your own before long. Also, the fact that your kiddo also is into Masters is pretty damn awesome!

Aye, no worries. This one will be a (relatively) short reply cos I gotta go work. lol.
It was a 10 episode series. Each episode was roughly between 25 and 32 minutes. It was split into two lots of five, supposedly due to a production issue with in the later block. Part 1 was released on July 2021. And Part 2 in November 2021. But they are all part of one season and one story. There's only one time skip, which occurs between episodes one and two after the supposed deaths of Adam/He-Man and Skeletor in a big battle (and is why many characters then have a different outfit or hairstyle as it's been about five years and many have gone in different directions in their lives after the main characters 'died'). Adam/Skelly return in episode 5 though are often talked about and shown in flashbacks (particularly He-Man) up to that point. The figure is accurate. It's not a skirt, it doesn't flap about, it's flat to her skin like the other areas that colour (intended to be sheer/transparent like tights) appears such as the knees, her upper arms and collar. Aye, cheers. I appreciate that. It's been a crazy time these past couple of years. For a lot of people, aye. But yeah, we're just glad she's still with us. It looked really grim for a while back in 2020. Covid really is no joke at all. Aye, he's super into it. He'd watched some of the original show on youtube before and thought it was fun but pretty goofy. He really loved Revelation and we've been collecting Masterverse together. He's autistic (so am I to a lesser extent and so is my best mate) and a lil genius. Not in that Hollywood way of autistic savants, I mean like he's just really smart and clued up and progressive. He got very upset the other day though when William Shatner was announced to be in the follow up to Revelation, titled MotU : Revolution. Shatner has been a HUGE asshole to autistic people for years while claiming to be 'helping' us by being a spokesperson for Autism Speaks, which he mistakenly believes is an organisation that helps autistic people but is in fact regarded by the majority of the autistic community as a hate group for so many reasons including the fact they spent years promoting the idea that autism was a disease to be cured and even that vaccines cause autism (they don't. They never have. Anyone who says they have, is basing their views on a study that was revealed to be a hoax and the doctor lost his license over it). They've changed some of their views but are still an extremely harmful organsiation and Shatner has attacked thousands of autistic people who try to show him evidence of it all because he thinks he knows better than autistic people. He's also made false claims against the Autistic Self Advocacy Network which, unlike his precious Autism Speaks, is actually run by autistic people for autistic people. Basically Shatner is a prick who has even referred to autistic people as 'savages' if we don't keep on 'masking' and trying to act like non-autistic people. I'm typing too much again and gotta go soon but point is, my kid is devastated seeing his new favourite thing which he's super passionate about now get 'invaded' by this absolute knobhead who has spent years attacking people like my kid. So aye, to see Shatner rolled out in the SDCC presentation for Revolution like he's some kind of god? Not great. Anyways so much for this being a much shorter reply. lol. Right. Shoes on, I'm gone! lol Have a good day everyone! |

Aye. Can we trade him in and get Leonard Nimoy back instead? He was always a nicer bloke. And a better actor, including voice acting. He was Galvatron in the the 1986 Transformers film and returned to the franchise again in 2011 for Dark of the Moon to play Sentinel Prime. The man had such a cool voice. I'd have loved for him to get a role in the new MotU. He'd be ace.

Not seen that but had me a quick google and seen a few scenes of him in it and aye, he just such a cool presence and charisma and I could listen to the bloke talk for hours.
Also voice acting (but as himself) he was in two classic episodes of The Simpsons. Marge Vs The Monorail from season 4 and The Springfield Files from season 8. Aye, I've gone way off topic. Sorry. lol. |
