I still wish they'd stuck with a classic, 'retro' costume design, like we saw with Rocketeer or Captain America. That picture frame around the lightning bolt is such an eyesore to me.

Addendum: It looks as though the movie is a film adaptation of Post-New 52 Shazam: Volume 1. If so, I hope they embellished the plot heavily, because the comic story is bland.

Why are we judging a movie based on the toys? The movie should be judged on its own merits. Not on the merch. That being said, the toys look about what you’d expect out of Mattel. I don’t see myself picking them up, but will see the movie.

Also, Power Rangers are awesome.

I was already spoiled to this from Funko. I'm honestly not really happy about it. This feels like sequel material. It's a pessimistic view, but I feel like this is a dis on the character and to Levi for not making it solely about Shazam/Billy, or that the weight of the movie cannot be reliant on Shazam/Billy.

Though, of course, it's not going to dissuade me from watching the movie opening night. I'm still rooting for it to be a winner.

I have to agree. Teasing Freddie, Mary, and the gang getting powers at the end would've been fine but putting them all in the first movie seems like it's rushing things a bit. Also judging by the little figures they all come with I'm guessing the Seven Deadly Enemies of Man are a part of the movie somehow? That's neat.

Still I hope it ends up good because after all the s**t the DCEU or whatever has gotten since Man of Steel I hope they keep they can keep the win train going.

These look good, I'll definitely pick these up if I come across them "out in the wild"

Still hoping Mafex will do a Shazam figure.

Can't wait to see what McFarlane does with DC Multiverse. I'm honestly tired of the half baked trash Mattel has been putting out these last years DC deserves some respect.

Funny, to me this looks like one of Mattel's better efforts. It looks enough like the actors for a $20 action figure.
